I liked it, but lot's of fan boys hated it. If you are not a trekkie and all gay with it, you will like them both.

By Justin Lin who brought us 'The fast & The furious'. The trailer feels like one of those F&F films. Lets hope the plot is more interesting than this noisy trailer.

F&F sucked balls. The only reason the movie got high ratings is because the lead actor died.

Correct and that's why this 3rd movie will be total shit.
The trailer looks exactly like one of those Fast & Furious movies.

This film is getting great reviews! Some are even calling it the best one of the last three! I am watching this one this weekend!

and in another note, Chris Pine already has gray hair/beard at age 35? :scratcher:

Dammit! I have plans to watch this film this afternoon, but I barely had any sleep last night as kept I choking, struggling to breath for most of the night...I thought I was going to die (sleep apnea is getting worse lately). Now I feel beat up and will probably fall asleep watching the film or worst while driving. But if I cancel my plans I'll have to wait until next Saturday and I can't wait that long!

BTW this film boasts the coolest movie posters of the franchise since, well, 1979!

and the other one is almost a carbon copy of the classic 1979 poster for 'Star Trek: The Motion Picture'

You should really see a doctor for your sleep apnea. There are several solutions for this. Are you overweight?

I saw my doctor, had a sleep study done, but the freaking company that was going to deliver the CPAP device tried to rip me off and I cancelled it. I tried many times to get other supplier involved, but the company that did the sleep study have been totally uncooperative to release the results to a third party that is not their crooked partner. It has been like pulling teeth and my doctor's office hasn't help me neither. Meanwhile I keep choking every night and is becoming worst. Life threatening to say the least. I guess I'll have to (A) get another doctor (B) have another sleep study done (quite expensive even with insurance) (C) get a different company to deliver the CPAP machine.

No. I am not overweight and never have been.

I have and while they express 'concern' no action materializes. Fuck them, I'll check with my insurance tomorrow to switch doctors and get a different company involved.

I have been told that it helps when you sleep on your side. How are your nostrils? Can you breath through them freely most of the time?

I normally sleep on my side and for most the time my nostrils are not congested. My main problem is that I choke with my saliva and wake up gasping for air and feeling unable to swallow the saliva to open the trachea windpipe. It is really scary as each time I feel like I will not be able to breath and the thought of 'this is it: I am dying".

I am not scared to die and leave this world. I am prepared. But to be near it in such an agonizing way and survive is well, scary.

Star Trek Beyond We have seen many times the scenario where the trailer was much better than the movie it promoted. This is the opposite. If you watched the first 'Star Trek Beyond' trailer chances are you lost interest in watching this film. And that was a great disservice as this is one hell of an entertaining film. Justin Lin did a great job of following J.J. Abrams alternate timeline to appeal to general audiences, but also not forgetting the elements that old series fans love. Contrary to what I was expecting from Lin, he gave enough screen time to flesh out most of the main characters, something that was sadly lacking in the previous film. The interactions between Kirk, Spock & McCoy have not been this fun since, well, the original tv series. Kudos to Simon Pegg for writing the screenplay which balanced nicely action, drama and humor. In fact not only this is one of a helluva of a film, it is also one of the best 'Star Trek' movies in the entire franchise! In fact I rank it among the top three: 1. Star Trek (2009) 2. Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan 3. Star Trek Beyond. That said, it is not a perfect movie. It has quite a few plot holes maybe caused by clumsy editing, like one moment Uhura is left behind, captured by the bad guy, Krall (Idris Elba) when the saucer section of the ship detaches from its 'neck' and the last time we saw Sulu he was in bridge and trying to get to an escape pod. Next we see Uhura AND Sulu ALONE walking and plotting how to escape. Next we saw them being escorted by the baddies. There are several clumsy scenes like that, but still that wasn't enough to spoil the fun. 'Trek' special effects has never looked so gorgeous and it dwarfs anything from 'The Force Awakens'. Amd that albino alien girl is really badass and will surely become a fan favorite in the cosplay department. I was entertained and highly recommend watching this film in a big screen theater. 8.5/10
