Universal announced that 'the Mummy' will spearhead the Universal Monsters Cinematic Universe...but they said the same thing about 'Dracula Unbound'...and said the same thing with that Benicio Del Toro 'The Wolfman'...but since both films bombed, now they pretend they never existed and will be rebooting both characters. And lets not forget that the plans for the Hugh Jackman 'Van Helsing' was to launch a 'Universal Monsters Franchise'. Now Van Helsing will be rebooted too...with a female lead

Back to these new incarnations: Johnny Depp has signed to star in 'The Invisible Man'. Russell Crowe plays Dr. Jekyll in 'The Mummy' and will have his own 'Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde' film. Scarlett Johansson is committed to 'The Creature from the Black Lagoon' and they are courting Angelina Jolie to become "the Bride of Frankenstein'. If all these plans materialize (and the movies don't bomb like all the previous ones) I think that the main attraction will not be the monsters or the plots themselves, but to watch all these A List stars joining in a monster mash film.

Lets see how far they can go with this.

It was very low budget with cheap make-up effects. Still I chuckled a few times.
