That 'review' fits better the description you gave to Anthony's review video: this is not a review, just a fan going all 'Oh boy!' about a sequel.

THIS is a better, no spoilers, review from Grace who is an ultra DC fan who wanted so badly to love this film.

No it wasn´t.
That guy in my review is a fanboy who wanted to love Suicide Squad yet objectively reviews it, trashes it and gives it a C-grade. :scratcher:

 

So far then, everyone who has reviewed this movie is wrong and/or subjective from Newspaper/Magazine reviewers, movie-critics, all the way to Comic-book Fanboys...

 

Not you, per se.
But it seems that just lately, if a big anticipated movie gets utterly and universally trashed by everyone (Ghostbusters, Suicide Squad and to a degree, Batman v Superman), there´s some wrong here that it couodnt possibly be true.
Cue: people acting like the crazed villagers after Frankenstein´s monster

The latest is that Rotten Tomatoes is an anti-DC organization hell-bent on trashing all their movies and needs to be shut-down, just like Ghostbusters´critics are part of an anti-feminist movement.

They´re shit movies. They´ve been reviewed and judged as such. Its that simple. ::

The Collider nerds LOVED IT and gave it glowing reviews...IMBD tallied the fanboys reviews with the critics and it now ranks 8.5/10 which means is BETTER than most Marvel films in IMBD! ::

Reading this Hollywood Reporter article about the behind the scenes filming turmoil and studio honchos messing with the film, reminds me too much of a similar scenario of another comicbook film that got damaged bad: Fantastic Four. A studio insider said that this film needs to make at least $750-$800 million to be considered profitable by the studio...that's nuts.

As more reviews pile in the score is sinking LOWER: as of today Thursday August 05, a day before the movie opens wide, the RT score is currently at 29% rotten!

 

I watched that like a year ago. WB has NEVER had a freaking clue how to make comicbook adaptations. 'Superman: The Movie' turned out great despite of the studio intervention just because Richard Donner held to his guns and never backed down from fighting the studio & the producers intrusiveness in the creating control department. Nolan was pretty much left alone for the Batman Begins filming as they thought the franchise was dead. When WB lets the creators do their stuff, sometimes it pays off (The Dark Knight) and sometimes it backfires (Batman v Superman).

 

I´m sure that this will rocket up to 70%+ in 2 weeks. ::

I'm going tonight regardless of critics. I won't let them ruin another movie for me like BvS. That said, BvS was subpar but not as bad as it was trashed.

Heard there is a Flash cameo so pretty stoked to see that.

 

Just got back. I don't know what the critics watched or expected but it was fine. Good,not great but definitely worth watching. Seems like it's a popular fad to trash DC movies.

I am not watching this film at cinemas based on a decision made months ago after watching the first two trailers. You fanboys can praise it to heaven, but like with the Independence Day remake, I have ZERO interest in this film.


BTW it made $20 million on Thursday night which broke the August record of 'Guardians of The Galaxy' for a best Thursday opening in August.
