    Fucking boring stuff you mean.

Stick to posting good tunes by Savoy Brown, Three Dog Night and Molly Hatchet.

Dunno, I'd say it's more class than race (as with most things). Your average working class white would be less affected and annoying to watch than Michele Obama, I bet. Bunch of opticians and estate agents from milngavie and Newton mearns getting down, tho - 'look at me, I'm just off the wall! Isn't it hilarious how fun loving and sassy I am? Im a riot! I just don't care, look how much I don't care, look! Look!'

I actually went out to see the old fucks, UB40 last night.

Okay there are currently two bands officially calling themselves UB40. Out of the line up of eight that were together from 1979-2008, five have stayed with the original band (with Duncan Campbell as the new frontman) and three (Ali Campbell, Astro, and Mickey Virtue) have broken off and are also calling themselves "UB40." The spinoff was who I saw last night and my money is on that being the better option to see these days. Great show.

Yes and it is literally brother v brother.

Robin Campbell is the leader of the band that has always been UB40 and when Ali left in 2008, after a short stint with Maxi Priest as the lead vocalist on tour, they brought in the midddle brother, Duncan as the new lead vocalist.

Not only is Ali the younger brother of those two, he is no fan of the current line up. Before starting to tour and make records with this new version of UB40, he said "For five years I've sat back and watched my brother, Duncan, murder my songs."

The reason for the split was over accusations that the band's management company had been taking more money than they were allowed to under the contract. Mickey Virtue was the first to complain and investigate. The lead singer, Ali Campbell made the same complaint and they both split from the band soon after. In 2013, Astro left the band for the same reason.

I went to see them in 1980 when they toured in support of their debut album ´Signing Off´.
For such a new band they were great live and had a superb sound.

    Before they went commercial-pop:

Well, I had to laugh when Ali said "he destroyed MY songs."

They've found a way to make a good living off of remaking old reggae classics and rearranging old pop hits.

The opening act last night was The Whalers. They had a lead vocalist that sounded just like Bob Marley. They sounded great.

Shabazz Palaces are ok, I quite like them, but let's face it - SubPop are still living off being such a monumental force in the late 80's/early 90's. Their output now is nothing in comparison.
