Just watched this. WOW surprisingly very good and very funny. Gosling is hilarious in this movie. It flowed well, was interesting, and gosling and crowe had great chemistry. 7.5/10
Is this one of those ´We´ve-been-around-Hollywood-for-a-few-years-doing-serious/arty-shit-now-we´re-doing-our-semi-´humorous´-buddy-buddy-movie´ which will be excrutiatingly unfunny?
The depiction of Los Angeles in the 1970s was pretty accurate too. (notice they used the 70s style Warner Bros logo-scope in the opening?)
Didnt he hit headlines in the 90s when he wrote some pretty hot screenplays that netted him a stack of money? (cant be arsed to Google him)
Yeah he wrote the lethal weapon movies, or at least part of it and The Last Boy scout, the Long Kiss Goodnight. But he hasnt direct much. I think after this movie, he will do more. He has "Doc Savage" with the Rock schedule next and then "The Predator" Which will be a direct sequel to the 1987 movie.
Saw this, it wasn't bad but I wouldn't call it good either. Put it this way, I don't think it's rewatchable.
