Team Garcia KNOW the deal. They know Danny can get beat at any time.

They are going to carefully maneuver their way around to take the least risky fights, while letting the others guys fight each other.

They will only take a big fight to CASH OUT... Pacquiao may still happen next year. And there were rumblings of Mayweather a few months back. Maybe someone like Canelo or Cotto will come knocking.

But unless it's anything like that, Garcia will continue to fight guys like Berto. :wack:

    Yes, seriously.

Look, these current guys ain't exactly the Fab 4. Thurman, Brook, and Garcia are "good" fighters, but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that Spence is a different level ability wise than those guys.

Algeri goes the distance with Pac, and damn near draws with Khan... Spence blows him away effortlessly in 5.

Phil Logreco goes 10 tough rounds with Shawn Porter (your boy).... Spence blows him away effortlessly in 3.

Bundu goes 12 with Thurman, and the boxing media loooovveess sucking Thurman's dick... Spence blows Bundu away effortlessly in 6.

The writing is on the wall. Spence is a higher caliber fighter than the rest of the welterweights.

Unless Spence is hiding a glass chin, or a glass heart, he's simply too skilled, too talented, and hits too damn hard for Thurman, Brook, Cherry Garcia, and Porter.

Spence is an anomaly. A soft-spoken, pretty boy brotha who looks like he wouldn't hurt a fly... looks like the type of cat brothas would pick on cause he looks "soft".... yet he's a fuckin killer.

Rumor has it that if Brook doesn't come back to welter, Spence could fight Lamont Peterson for the vacant IBF title.

Damn, that might as well be Peterson's retirement fight. Peterson was getting roughed up and buzzed by Felix Diaz.

It would end violently for Lamont.

Does Spence have the frame to move up to 160 in the future? GGG-Spence could be a potential super fight further down the line (A LOT further, obviously) if he keeps this level of performance up against higher callibre fighters.

160 remains to be seen, but he has a very big frame for a welter. I think he'd handle 154 well.

I know people will say I'm jumping to conclusions, but if Spence has a solid chin, I think he'd beat the Hell outta Crapnelo.

Spence is the exactly the type of fighter the fat Ginger DOESN'T wanna face.

Keep feasting on slow scrubs like Liam Smith...

Spence is good enough that in a few years when guys like GGG, Ward, Kov, ect have slowed down, it's very possible that he, Loma, and Chocolatito will be considered the top 3 P4P.

but you used the word, "proof." that we do NOT have. we can deduct, as you have, that he is the best. but if you're under the impression Spence has "proven" he is the best, then why should he or any other fighter bother facing the best guys? according to your logic, they can instead figure out who is the best by comparing their performances with common opponents. obviously, there are plenty of examples in history where comparing performances against common opponents has not been a good indicator of who wins in a head to head matchup. you may feel confident in your assessment that he is the best. but strictly speaking, there is no proof of it.

To the contrary - I would like NOTHING MORE to see Thurman, Brook, and Garcia vs Spence.

My point is, knowledgeable boxing people should make him a betting favorite over all all three.

Especially Garcia. Danny might be a much bigger mainstream name, but on paper, you can't make a very compelling case for Garcia beating Spence. It'd be an epic ass whupping laid on Danny Gift.

Similar to GGG, it's a HUNCH w/Spence...Both Guys LOOK The Part and Would Likely Be FAVORED (By Hardcore Boxing Fans, Anyways) Against Anybody Within their Divisions, Right Now...

Major Difference is, Spence Is 7.5-8 Years YOUNGER, Debuted 6 Years LATER Yet Only Has 14 Fewer Bouts...To Date, GGG's Fought SLIGHTLY Better Opposition and is More Marketable (@ the Moment)...And REED Seriously Doubts Spence Will REMAIN @ '47, if he's Unsuccessful Getting Bouts w/an ELITE Welter...

He'd Move Up to '54 and Seek Challenges There...

Yeah, the ONLY Thing the Least Bit "Hard" about Errol Spence is the Way he FIGHTS...

Cool, Easy Going Dude, Easy to Smile...Just Moved Out of his Parents Home, Prior to his 10 Month Old Being Born...Not Really a Bling Guy (REED Recalls Seeing Spence Wear 1 Chain, 1 Time)...Only 1 Vehicle, as Opposed to a Fleet of Cars...No Entourage, No Yes Men Giving Courtesy Laughter On Cue, No Groupies, No "Security" Dudes Rockin' $30,000 Worth of Jewelry, No $50,000 Cell Phone Cases, No Duffle Bags Filled w/ABSURD Amounts of Cash...Spence Sr. is Full Blooded Jamaican and They're Notoriously TIGHT w/Money...

Since Spence ISN'T a Crude Shit Talker like Tyson or a Counter Culture Narcissist Like Floyd, REED Hopes that DOESN'T Prevent Him from Resonating w/Fans...In an Era where Just about EVERY Athlete is Over the Top ARROGANT, it's Actually COOLER to Be Genuinely HUMBLE...

    STYLES...

Thurman HATES it to the Body and Spence ATTACKS the Body as Much as Any Current Fighter...By Round 6, Thurman Will Have Both Arms Low, Protecting his Ribs, GIVING Spence Free Shots to His Head...

spence gets hit, so we'd have to see how he reacts when thurman lands some hard shots. i would certainly favor spence, though.

Yeah, Thurman's definitely the biggest test for Spence at welter. Realistically, let's count out Brook. The guy isn't coming back to 147.

Garcia's an easy fight for Spence. Cherry couldn't avoid the straight lefts from a shot Guerrero for Christ Sake.

those are your IBF rankings. never seen this ponomerev. jeff horn sucks, randall bailey had him ready to go out. peterson arleady turned down a chance to face spence and has been on ice.

If Haymon wants to make Spence a mainstream name, he should try to set up a fight with him and About Bullshit. Spence raping Broner would garner him mainstream attention.

About Bullshit wouldn't take that fight though.

I think there's more of a chace of Thurman-Garcia getting made first, before either guy even CONSIDERS facing Spence.

But I'm totally down for Spence-Peterson.

saying he should be favored over the others is a lot different than what you first said, which is that there was now proof spence is the best. i agree he should be favored over those guys, but he has not proven yet that he is better. to do that, he will need to defeat them.
