I've seen all the Bourne films, once. Their always good films but have shitty replay value IMO. The Daniel Craig Bond franchise is ok movies with really shitty replay value and Mission Impossible films are awesome films with top notch replay value.

    Watched this last night.
The Bourne movies are as implausible as James Bond now. Just ridiculous action-scenes and impossible-IT-technology that is on display, e.g. CIA can now trace a single IP-address to pretty much anywhere in the world, but can´t deactivate the device....but they can cut the power to the whole building instead. Just like that! :palm:

Add to this the ridiculous plot and zero-reason to even make this movie....and you get:

    5/10

Apparently Matt Damon regretted not doing the last Bourne film once he saw Reiner playing the role. Like a jilted boyfriend he got jealous and so he reprised the role he walked away from.

Damon was the lucky one, as Christian Bale likewise regretted leaving the Batman franchise after the fact but it's now too late to get it back from Affleck.

I'm really crossing my fingers that the same thing will happen to Daniel Craig once he leaves the Bond franchise and that the likely limited opportunities he finds in film won't pay him nearly what he commanded playing James Bond.

The issue for me is, the Bourne series was nicely wrapped up after The Bourne Ultimatum - most if not all questions were answered.

The Bourne Legacy - the one you mentioned with Jeremy Renner - was just boring and pointless: all about the subjects taking drugs and stuff.

As for Craig leaving Bond - tbh, he is looking olf and jaded and it comes across in the movies and also in interviews, you can see his heart isnt 100% in it anymore. I quite enjoyed Spectre at the time (I didnt like Skyfall one bit), but looking back, that has average watchability now as well.

Yeah I think all of Craig's Bond films have low rewatchability thanks mainly to the decision to try to bring a more realistic (see boring) aspect to the spy action film genre. You don't see Mission Impossible or the Bourne films trying so hard to make their action films more boring the way the rebooted Bond films have. What's next a more realistic cop show where we get to witness the mundane demands of a guy writing tickets and having to fill out the paper work on his only two shoot outs of the film?

Having said that, they hit the bullseye with the Casino Royale movie 10 years ago: new, tougher Bond, good villain, various locations, no ridiculous gadgets an some awesome set-piece scenes, especially the long poker game.
Then they just dipped in watchability and quality.

The Bourne movies - the first three - were pretty consistant throughout - but for me, I can still only rewatch ´Identity´ again...
