I just post to the trailer as a discussion thread. So if anyone sees it and wants to recommend it, the thread is already made. I wont watch it until someone her gives it a review.
and I like the franchise....not the best but entertaining.... As much as i find Kate Beckinsale DELICIOUS....my favorite movie from the franchise is the one that has Rhona Mitra(another delicious dish) as the main character..
That must be the third one, Underworld: Rise of The Lycans which also stars Michael Sheen as Lucian, leader of the Lycans. And i agree with you: that one is the best one of the franchise.
How is this shit even getting to a 4th fucking movie? :: :scratcher: Pandering to sexually-starved or inept males who want to see Kate Beckinsale in PVC and blowing up some werewolves along the way? Whatever floats your boat I guess. As low-level as the Resident Evil series...
1. Underworld 2. Underworld Evolution 3. Underworld: Rise of the Lycans 4. Underworld: Awakening 5. Underworld: Blood Wars
Awakening was pure garbage. I think the Underworld films are already in order of good to bad (so far) with #1 being the best and 4 being the worst. So obviously I also think 2 was better than 3. Either way way it's not exactly a franchise I missed or am excited to see making a comeback. It's just another example of Hollywood being cheap and risk adverse. They should start spelling it Hollywd because they've clearly lost their balls somewhere along the way.
A lot of shit movies make money. Battleship made money. We havent had another four shitter versions of that.
Battleship was a box office flop. It almost sink Universal Pictures with its $220 million budget and the additional $150 million in marketing. On the other hand the Underworld films have been low budget films which with each newer film the box office grosses have increased, being the last one, "Awakening" the highest grossing one in the franchise. That said, each subsequent sequel has also increased its budget: the first one cost $22 million, but the last one cost $70 million. I don't know how much the upcoming one budget is, but the studio might shoot itself in the foot if it gave it a higher budget than $80 million as franchise fatigue might catch it soon and Kate Beckingsale might be a MILF, but she is not getting any younger.
