Brook says it wasn't for his eye he would have taken over that fight.

    Of course.

Macklin and Malignaggi are calling it "An Injury".

To quote Feebles......"When the other guy punches your eye out of your head............" etc etc.

Mike had Buster only for the fake Endswell.

Basilio is 2-0 vs Sugar Ray, only for the eye.

Gatti and Vitali have Robinson and Lewis, but for the cuts.

Yes. On the medical cards. They will see Brook first.

Hearn is a massive tool who should run for Parliament.

Brook was tapping his eye socket repeatedly with his glove and motioning to his corner in the 2nd or 3rd round.

    His face was broken.

No. Brook brought a bag of tricks to the fight including speed, angles, southpaw trickery, and still got his face kicked in.

So if you are asking can Canelo beat GGG on the basis of Brook having his face kicked in, I would say no.

There is nothing in the kicking in of the face of Brook that says Canelo can beat GGG.

You seem more animated than usual today, Irish. What is it about this fight that has your adrenaline pumping so vigorously?

He lost the first, won the 2nd, lost the 3rd and 4th in my opinion.

When the dust settles and the Brits put the kool aid down, they too will realize that Brook took an awful beating.

Carl Froch, you utter, utter, utter tool of a man.

Unlike Most, REED Was Never Under the Assumption Canelo COULDN'T Beat GGG...

GGG MUST Be Favored, Obviously, but Canelo Hits HARDER than Brook, and Is Also a GOOD Combination Puncher...GGG WILL NOT Walk Thru Canelo w/Out Weathering Adversity of His Own, That's for SURE...

Liars and bullshit merchants at Sky TV.

"Oh Brooks killing him in there, he's making him miss, he's totally bossing this".

These people are inhumane lying tools.

Brook was hurt, and lost, and running and desperate for around the last 5-6 minutes of that contest.

He was throwing "Don't hit me" punches and desperate for somebody to come in and get him out of there.

And these commentators were just sitting there telling me the exact opposite of what I could see with my own fucking eyes.

    Immoral people.

Alvarez is slower, not as brave and not as skilled.

Brook brought every one of his considerable Wincobank Gym tricks to the party and, at the end of the day, not one of them worked.

Alvarez is a straight up, straight ahead, walk in guy with no bells or whistles.

He's stronger and bigger than Brook but his face will disintegrate faster on account of his fair skin.

Compared to the STANDARD GGG Fight, it WAS Competitive...

That Being Said, GGG was WINNING the Fight @ the Time of the Stoppage...

Yep. Matthew Macklin must have had something wrong with his eyes too.

[FONT=&quot]This is incredible! Golovkin, to his credit, manages to stay on his feet, but Brook has drawn blood and ends the round very much on top."

...............is what the British newspapers were saying at the end of the 2nd round.

It might be just be, but I never really complain much about early stoppages in fights that are academic. Yes, they stopped it too early, but Brook had shot his load and it would have become a progressive beating.

As for Golov, might be an overreaction, but the guy is 34. He might not be quite as good now as he was 3 years ago at his very peak.

That's what the Golden Fag is banking on. Crapnelo catching Golov in a year at JUSSSTT the right time.

I still don't think the shitty Ginger can win though.

I have no gripe with anybody who says GGG was sloppy, ponderous, etc. I have no gripe with anyone who says Brook came for the money and clung furiously to the old Joe Bugner adage that "It's about the money...........and being able to spend it".

I have serious gripes with paid, learned commentators, men who have boxed, like Carl Frock, coming on telly and telling me that I saw Lazarus rise when the bastard is lying dead and decaying at my feet.

Brook motioned to his corner about the eye in the 3rd round, he actually stopped fighting to tell them his eye was fucked. He took a chance that Golovkin would hit him again just to pause and tell them about his eye.

    He wanted out, badly.

I agree. At times, GGG timing was terrible............but still more than enough to fuck Brook up.

So angry with these morons on television.

You got my $20, why you still need to fucking lie to me :dunno:

Bottom Line, Kell Brook GOT GGG's Attention w/Some Shots...EARNED GGG's Respect, if NATHAN Else...Didn't DETER GGG, but Garnered a Measure of Respect from Him, Undoubtedly...

Canelo Alvarez Hits HARDER than Kell Brook, Has UNDERRATED Handspeed Himself and Puts His Punches Together VERY Well...Obviously, the Fight Will Be Won/Lost in the Pocket, but if Kell Brook Could Have MOMENTS of Success @ Close Range, w/Triple G, Canelo Alvarez DEFINITELY Can...

I think Brook absolutely rolled the dice from day one by staying in the pocket and pulling back at the very very last moment, which takes bravery and athleticism of the highest order.

Paulie M was absolutely spot-on with that observation, and Brook kept doing it until instinct ordered him to start running.

Alvarez just cannot do the things Brook does.

He's going to rely on strength and steel and fire far as much as Brook did rely on brains, guile and athleticism.

I am not saying Canelo cannot beat GGG, but he cannot beat him like Brook tried to.

Agreed, but I shouldn't have to.

When I see a guy land an uppercut that barely gets his opponents attention, I shouldn't have to listen to shit about how his opponent was "Buzzed".

It's a small thing. Don't tell me to see things that did. not. happen.

Let me just add, if Brook had been in with Crapnelo tonight, it likely would have been a struggle for the Ginger.
