Stranger Things - trailer/discussion

That trailer left me confused, but somehow it got an 80's Spielberg flavor to it that I like.

 

Anything with kids in it = :shit #2:

 

Started this last night after seeing Anthony´s thread.
Four episodes in, I liked it: the kids weren´t half as annoying as they usually are in Spielberg movies, the show to me, is a mix-up of Spielberg (as panchy mentioned), John Carpenter and Steven King.

I hope they don´t draw it out to multiple seasons, go off at weird tangents and jump-the-shark...

It's a pretty interesting show. Reminds me of E.T..

 

Is this a kids show...?

 

It could be since the main characters are children, but there is an adult horror plot. Think of Stand By Me but sci fi.

Anybody watching this? Looks like a mix between the x-files and E.T. but it sure is entertaining... :elmo:

 

It's got great reviews, but I don't get the Netflix, or Hulu, or Google Shuffle, or whatever the fuck network it's on. ld:

No. I stream football games on my tablet sometimes, but that's about it. I've got Amazon Prime but never, ever used it to watch any programs. Not a big deal. Not enough time and too much stuff to pick from to begin with.

I like this show a lot but it is overhyped. Just a lot of mainstream people trying to jump on the bandwagon.

Mr Robot - watched first three also and looks far too clever for an ex-IT guy like me
Better Call Saul - never heard of it

I've been watching Aquarius about the Tate-Manson murders but they fucked around with it...
