Why? Shouldn't the "B side" fighter with the shitty resume be the underdog? Have the odds makers fell for HBO bias?

Yes, the Oddsmakers have Fallen for the HBO Bias AND GGG will Be the Biggest, Strongest, Hardest Punching Fighter Canelo Will have Ever Faced...

Being the A or B Side of the Promotion has NATHAN to Do w/Betting Odds...Nor Does it Have Anything to Do w/Who Eventually WINS...

Yeah, I doubt Golov wins every round. Canelo will definitely win a few of the earlier-to-mid rounds.

After about 7 give or take is where we'll see the separation in class. By 9 or 10 I think Canelo is getting a bad beating, and his corner might say that's enough.

    That's Reasonable...

GGG's Pressure will DEFINITELY Test Canelo's Stamina Like NEVER Before...If he Forces an Uptempo Pace, Who Knows What Canelo Will Have Left by Round 9 or 10???...The Bout Will Boil Down to Canelo's Ability to EARN Respect from GGG...

He Has NO Chance of Winning, Otherwise...

A past his prime Cotto that most people here on fightbeat thought would win that fight. We had a poll so I'm not assuming most people picked Cotto. More people here voted that Cotto would win.

Yeah, a supposed past prime Cotto had beaten up and stopped Martinez in a recent fight, Martinez was the linear champion. So beating Cotto shouldn't be taken lightly. GGG is a very different task of course, but Canelo has shown enough where you cannot count out his chances against GGG.

no, progression of 3 faggots who been shamelessly avoiding golovkin for the past 4 years

I don't disagree. GGG is the consensus champion, but it doesn't stop Canelo from being the lineal champion ( the man who beat the man who beat the man).

GGG-Canelo is far from a mismatch. Shame that Canelo doesn't want the fight, and that GGG use that as an excuse to fight the worst possible opposition.

GGG via TKO by round 9-10. Canelo starts cautiously. Gets behind on the cards. Tries to get his offense going and has some success around round 4-5. But then the accumulation of (clean) shots starts to take its toll and Canelo goes back to being cautious. By round 7 he's told he's down on the cards and needs to start winning rounds. He looks to be more aggressive and the fight is on, but it's the beginning of the end. Both have some good exchanges but Canelo is slowing down and taking more shots than he's delivering by the end of round 8. By round 9 Canelo goes in to survival mode....and then....that's it. Stopped.

Which is probably the truest thing that can be said with regard to these men.

    Canelo doesn't want the fight.

He can win, GGG is not unbeatable, GGG want's the fight, GGG can lose..........all debatable.

But beyond debate is that one of them doesn't want it and is promoted by people who don't want it, at least not on fair terms.

So, Knowing GGG Got as Much as 5mil for Fucking Up Kell Brook's Eye, is a Flat Fee, "Career High Purse" Fair???...

In Other Words, Would a Flat Rate of 5.5-6mil Be Fair???...

If there is $20m available, and Canelo is getting $15, then it;s not fair on us that they only set aside $5m for GGG, safe in the knowledge that the fight probably won't get made and we get shafted.

"We" and "Us" have DEMONSTRATED by Our PPV Purchasing Actions that Canelo SHOULD Get the Lion's Share of the Purse...

Canelo HIMSELF Accepted Catchweight Demands from Floyd AND Cotto, and Even Took SHORT Money vs. Cotto, When he ARGUABLY Didn't Have To...@ WHAT Point Does GGG GAMBLE On Himself, as Such???...This is What Irks the SHIT Out of REED, In Regards to GGG...NOBODY Places the Onus on HIM, to Do Whatever it Takes to Make these Big Fights Happen...EVER...

What EXACTLY Has he Done to DISMISS Reasonable Terms for a Canelo Fight???...If he's TRULY Offered a "Career High Purse", WHAT'SthefuckingPROBLEM???...Like it or Not, GGG's on the ASS End of the Negotiation...His Lone PPV Headliner Sold 200,000...REED's Pretty Sure Canelo's NEVER Headlined a PPV that Sold Sooooo FEW...Sure, the Bout Itself Sold Out MSG, but Tickets were VERY "Reasonably Priced", to Make it EASIER to Sell Out...

If GGG's Offered MORE Money than he's EVER Made for a Prizefight, he Needs to JUMP On that Shit, Period...If he Doesn't, HE Should Be Held Accountable, NOT Golden Boy or Canelo...The Bottom Line is, Canelo's MUCH More PROVEN, Both In the Ring and @ the Cash Registers...

    We're Talking about a 34 Year Old Motherfucker w/NO Signature Win/Opponent, for Fuck's Sake...

Well that's Top Rank, a capital decision, you used to be as voracious for a stream as Mitchell Kane was for a source (and then you killed him).. This reminds me of those who used to say,.. "Yeah but you'll pay to see Choc lose, you'll pay bigtime, he real smart"... ...within 5 minutes on youtube,... the summarising Australian broadcaster's talking about the successful defence of 'the hard hitting German' ..and I did it all without paying Barry Mcguigan a fucken taffee.

Id say 70/30 or at best for Golovkin 65-35 is a fair split. flat fee is for suckers, imagine if pacquiao had taken a flat fee of 40 million to face Mayweather jr. delahoya took a flat fee vs trinidad and got FUCKED. this is the biggest fight in boxing and will do well over 1million PPV buys.

Agreed. Spouting "career high" payday sounds good but doesn't address true value. All you have to is look up the biggest money a fighter has made and put more on the table so it appears "generous". It's not as if they're offering some homeless guy with nothing to lose 6 figures. It's more akin to taking some Mcdonalds employee and saying "your biggest payday was 600 bucks and we're offering 2400 so that's 4X more than you've ever made!" Triple G is the champion and undefeated. Clearly the bigger attraction is Canelo but it's not as if boxing fans have no clue who the B side is.

With all that said Golovkin's team needs to do everything they can to make it happen. They're already angling for narrative of "GGG turned down a career high payday. We tried our best". Alvarez has more options and more ways out of it as they don't want the fight in the first place. They'll be the happier of the two groups if it falls apart.

I schooled him some. Those were the days.

I like a stream but when I have work and have the dollar I like to splash out a bit from time to time.

Big bag of oven chips, heinz ketchup, a drink and a live fight.

    That's me sorted!

Pleasant though it all is apart from tossing Tim Cook's precious Irish cash down the throat of Kell Brooks, :nono: watch the chips, (and get over the famine), be it you'll lag to stone your sister with a jab................and wether it's justified domestic violence or not, never ever, EVER.... mention her infront of Hanz again :nono: ...

Andrade is the one guy at 154 who I think would be the most problematic for Ginger.

What I worry about is Andrade's chin. That bum Vanes dropped him.

Beyond his chin, I think he definitely has the skill and talent to outclass Alvarez.
