    Nah, I watched the movie with my two daughters. Besides Blake Lively has a toned athletic body with a small ass that is not my cup of tea in female bodies to felt aroused.

    to me the movie doesn't really know where it wants to be
    it's in the middle of 'Sharkado' and something more serious...generally it takes itself more seriously than it should
    it's entertaining...but not Jaws or something

    the way the shark dies is a complete joke, for instance
    i read a fan theory on IMDB that she actually dies and the whole ending it a hallucination..makes sense because there's no way she would not have had that leg amputated

    the shark death in the Shallows is like it was taken right out of a cartoon where a big fish chases a small fish, in Finding Nemo that happened already i'm sure....there's no way anyone can believe that it is possible...it's like in Tom and Jerry where the cat runs into the wall whilst the mouse goes through the hole :lol:
    Jaws, on the other hand is very plausible - shark puts barrel in mouth..makes sense

    the whole fucking movie jaws was ridiculous man. It the ending took the cake. This is why I laugh at you people. You want praise every old ridiculous unrealistic movie of old, but bash unrealistic new movies because....

    I'm with Antonio here: JAWS was more farfetched, particularly when it destroys the boat and can drown all those barrels that were harpooned to its back. Bruce the shark was the precursor of the Terminator!

    How does it compare to Deep Blue Sea???????

    But on a serious note, to me, Open Water is the most underrated shark flick. It's realistic, and it's suspenseful.

    Deep Blue Sea was closer to Sharknado to be honest. And this film reminded me a lot of 'Open Water' in its serious approach until the end kinda of ruined what they built up to that point and turned into pure popcorn. Still it is a very good film.
