  1. Lol

How many non Caucasians did you see in Lord of the Rings and a plethora of other films. When you say current trend, what time period are we talking?

I'm all for more minorities in movies but I don't want every film to become the united colours of Benetton either.

People that complain about no minorities in period pieces or Anglo/Germanic fantasy are misguided. If I'm watching a movie about African tribes before white settlement or a mythology from a non white race, I want no white dudes to be cast. Sure that hasn't been the norm but I see no reason not to do so moving forward.

Use races where it is historically accurate but if you want an occasional curveball like Idris as Heimdall I'm cool with that too.

Further to the above: I know little about Black Panther but my understanding is that Wakanda is a mythical African state. I hope that film ends up majority black actors. Throw in a white Englishman as the villain if you like but that should be it.

The majority of the cast is indeed black as well as the director.

Agree... Great cast obviously but it does not hold up well and isn't a patch on the Seven Samurai

Speaking of all the ethnic cleaning in films, apparently Disney is set to do a live version of Mulan and a bunch of the people involved have done a petition insisting they use Asian actors for the film.

I completely agree. It's got great casting but a lot of typical cliche stuff that you've seen in other films. The story is weak the villian was trying so hard to be threatening but somehow missed the mark and the dialogue is all style over substance. The only thing this film really has going for it is the charisma of some of the actors, the hotness of the female lead, (whom I thought looked better than Margot Robbie) and the action sequences which in my opinion weren't all that great. Honestly I was sitting there wanting this film to just end and I'm almost certain I'll never watch it again.
    5.5/10

Well I hear some people are complaining the Luke Cage show is too black.

By the way that Asian chick of the hour looks straight CGI.

I just saw it. Was a good movie! Don't expect some classic, but it was definitely entertaining - mostly because any and all movies where Denzel plays a bad ass are entertaining.

Chris Pratt and Ethan Hawke also turned in solid performances. As did Peter Sarsgaard as the villain, though it could have helped if his character was more developed.

Once again, don't expect some Tombstone like classic. But you won't come away feeling like you wasted your money.

    I give it like a 7/10.
