My theory is that if you listen to a lot of rap music, and your favorite rapper is 2Pac, you may suffer from depression. And if your favorite 2Pac album is Me Against the World, you almost certainly have mental health issues.

2Pac was like the Alejandro González Iñárritu of rap, although I suppose Alejandro is less depressing now, but his first 3 movies were Amores Perros, 21 Grams, and Babel.

21 Grams makes you want to run to the nearest Bridge to leap from.

precisely the kinda tedious shite space cadete 17 year olds from the glasgow schemes would write but nobody in the guardian or bbc would fawn over them and call them greater geniuses than david bowie - they'd be laughed out of town as the jejune, inarticulate mooks they are

It just seems bad to me... the lyrics are dumb, the musics totally uninteresting. Don't get it. People are comparing it to ronnie size winning in the 90s but drum and base was way more original and interesting than grime

Roni Size and Reprazent were brilliant though. I just don't get the grime thing, as you say the beats are boring and the lyrics are dumb as shit.

The Warriors was a classic but they had a plot with a very similar idea (all kinds of different gangs) as The Wanderers. Both were classics.
