Arguello beats Chavez at 130. No doubt in my mind. Arguello was an absolute machine at 130, and Chavez wasn't quite at his peak yet. I picked 135 cause it's the fairest for both guys. Chavez was at his peak at 135, and Arguello was still at the tail end of his prime at 135.
I'd end up picking Chavez too, but it's a much tougher fight than say... Chavez-Rosario. Rosario wasn't built for a long, grueling war like Arguello was. But yes, I think Chavez wins in the end. By decision. I pick Chavez over any lightweight in history except Duran, Whitaker, and Carlos Ortiz - who's probably the most UNDERRATED of the greats.
