Yes. that was the 1991 film starring Jason Patric & Jennifer Jason Leigh. I remember the film mostly for the 'Tears in Heaven' song by Eric Clapton which to me is one of the saddest songs ever. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/3poimzNM5SY" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
What review? 'Rush' 1991 or 'Rush' 2012? because the one with Thor about car racing drivers doesn't interest me at all.
I'm fine thanks RM.....just keeping my head down....2013 has been a weird, stressful and uplifting year for me all at once.
You don't have to be that interested in Formula-One really....its more based on the rivallry between James Hunt (you won't know who this is) and Nikki Lauda (you won't know who this is)... A movie about Dale Earnhardt (I know who this is)...just wouldn't cut it.
Good to see that you're oke. I am having a rough time myself. In many instances the bad things all happen in a short period of time. Just keep strong and stay positive. The good days are ahead of us.
I never really like it when the movie is about real people but the reality gets abandoned (like Cinderella Man portraying Braddock vs Baer as a fantastic fight) and this happens a lot in this movie. Apart from that it was a good film, there was no big message behind it but it was full of adrenaline and it looked great
Best sports-documentary-movie ever. Going back to 'Rush' and the era it was set in, as well as seeing that particular year's Grand Prix, I actually got to see Hunt and Lauda's cars up-close in the paddock, the Hesketh-Cosworth 308 and Ferrari 312B3, respectively...however, I just missed the debut of the seminal McLaren M23 and Ferrari 312T (as depicted in the movie). :bangh:
Just saw this. WOW. So fucking good. Dont know why thor has top billing, cause this was more of a Niki Lauda movie. I cant get over how much i enjoyed it.
This. I finally watched this movie. Before that I could never get a firm idea if it was any good or not. So low and behold I'm flipping through channels and I start watching the middle of an unknown film. It's some cool scene where Daniel Bruhl is talking about a racing engine. After a few minutes I realize it's Rush so I turn it off, and immediately go find a stream of Rush and start from the beginning. I loved this film, it was the exact kind of drama I enjoy. 8.5/10.
And panchy still didnt watch this movie? He cannot ignore this movie if he wants to be a credible movie critic.
I have zero credibility here, so why bother? :: I know it is a Ron Howard film so it will be good, but its plot doesn't appeal to me.
Well, it's better then "In The Heart Of The Sea", Ron Howards latest Chris Hemsworth vehicle, where Hemsworth is back to being an annoying cunt. Playing every character like some Off Off Broadway version of a Thor musical.
Exactly. I thought the same thing too which is why I never watched it until much later, but it isn't the plot that makes it great, it's the story and the execution of it. You should really watch this one Panch. In The Heart Of The Sea was a colossal disappointment in what I expected that film to be while Rush was just as much of a surprise hit in as what I was expecting it to be.
