    The problem with this series is that the character was introduced in 'Jessica Jones'. While it didn't exactly showed his powers origin, you will need to watch 'Jessica Jones' to 'get' what Luke Cage is all about and why he does what he does.

    Maybe or maybe not since the goal is to assemble all them into a team as the Defenders on 2017. You know, Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist. In Jessica Jones his character was pretty much hush hush quiet about his power and was not getting involved on anything, just trying to live a normal life. Well, of course until his involvement with Jessica made him come out from the superhero closet.

    Seriously? A tiara, bracelets and an open chest yellow shirt with a butterfly collar? He was ahead of his time with the skinny pants, the rest of that get up fits the 80's gear of the time, but in 2016 it screams gay. So yeah, he probably needs to stick to the hoody, especially since it'll help him weed out all those trigger happy racist cops.

    Pretty sure I won't watch this series just like the rest of the comic book stuff on tv.

    I just don't give a fuck about tv shows anymore. I don't have the desire to invest in any of these shows that don't appeal to me. Actually I'm surprised you're watching these superhero shows. Are they any good? Actually I watched the first episode of The Knick today and I'm pretty sure I won't watch it again.

    It looked interesting.
    And with Season 2 they implied they were going to explore the origins of The Joker.....but clearly something is off with DC, generally.

    Damn this show is so fucking great. Amazing performances, specifically Cottonmouth (Mahershala Ali) who should really become a big star after this.
    I really love what they did with this show. And it's such a black show, rich in soul and history. Not blaxploitation type, but just rooted in history and music. The soundtrack is on another level. They got greats playing on stage ranging from Raphael Saadiq to Nina, to the delfonics. Definitely check this shit out.

    9/10.

    I have not been able to watched it yet. First I will need to be alone at home to watch it since the wife resents that I put any show or movie with violence while she is around the house. Second, we misplaced/lost the Roku remote control and can't watch it on my big screen tv. (I refuse to watch any movie/show on the tiny PC/laptop screen).
