i disagree. and it shall become apparent now that he is playing with guys who can actually hit open shots and space the court for him to operate without the entire defense keying on him

    Huh????

I don't think any SANE, OBJECTIVE basketball fan would even question that.

Hellll fuckin yeah D-Howard in his prime was better than Webber!!

Howard might be a diva bitch, but before his back failed him he was a lot better than any version of Webber.

Webber's a MUCH better passer than Howard. Howard always sucked as a passer. But most other areas favor Howard. The defensive gap between the two of them is ASTRONOMICAL.

Your Webber love is blinding you from reality. As I said, same tier as Blake Griffin. You shouldn't be insulted by that, Blake's damn good.

Durant is INFERIOR to Julius Erving and Elgin Baylor...Clearly...

But YOU'RE the Guy that ALREADY Rates Steph HIGHER than Isiah, and Steph's 2015-16 Season HIGHER than Big O's Triple Double Season and Tiny Archibald's 34pts, 11.4ast Season...So it's NOT Surprising You're Exaggerating Durant's Place in History ALREADY...

Sorry, but You've Demonstrated an INCABILITY of Rating Ol' School Ballers Accordingly, and Get Waaaaaaaaaaaaay Toooooooooooooo Caught up in Shit You've JUST Seen...

Dwight Howard was NONfuckingEXISTENT on Offense, for Much of his Career...Webber is a CAREER +20ppg Guy, Dwight Howard's Career Average is LESS than 18...

Howard Rebounded and Protected the Paint Better than Webb, but Guess What???...SCORING in the Post, SCORING on the Perimeter, Ballhandling, Passing, Facilitating, Free Throw Shooting, MAKING TEAMMATES BETTER, All CWebb...

The MORE You Belabor this Point, the More REED Questions IF You Actually WATCHED Chris Webber Play...And No, Youtubing a 5 Minute Highlight Reel Don't Count...

No Doubt Dwight Howard was a Better "Defensive Player" than Chris Webber...But REED's NEVER Heard Anyone Suggest Howard was an "All Around Better Player" than Chris Webber...It'd Be COMICAL to Insinuate That...

Well, I had to make a top 15 all time player list, I think only 4 of them would be guys from the last 16 years. Shaq, Lebron, Duncan, and Kobe. The rest would be "old guys".

    So where's my bias?

REED, my favorite players of all time are Iverson, Hakeem, Jordan, Barkley, Dr. J, Bernard King, Clyde Drexler, and..... Nate muthafuckin Tiny Archibald.

So please spare me of recency accusations. I call it as I see it. Chris Webber was overrated.

You're not satisfied with me saying he was Blake Griffin good. You wanna hear me LIE and say he was much more than that, but I'm sorry.... he wasn't.

    Nope!

You have the wrong year my friend. I'm talking about the 01 Lakers, aka arguably the best playoff team in history.

The team that went undefeated in their finals run minus the game 1 loss to Philly.

Kobe torched the Kings that year, and the Lakers swept them.

01 was the year that Bryant officially broke out and became a superstar.

Howard carried a Magic team that was relatively devoid of talent to the finals in 09.... past..... you guessed it, the King himself.

Could Webber carry a team of role players past a prime Lebron? I doubt it.

Never underestimate how talented and deep that Kings team was.

    Again, X,

You Have a HISTORY of EXAGGERATING....Is Steph STILL BETTER than Isiah to You???...How About that "Best PG Season EVER" Opinion???...If You were EVER a Tiny Archibald FAN, You'd have NEVER Gone There...You Inserted YOUR OWN Fucking Foot in Your Mouth MORE than Enough Times, to Where REED would THINK You'd Be a Bit RELUCTANT to Exaggerate...

But Clearly, You CAN'T Help It...

Hell, You NEVER Even Considered Dr. J. in the "Best SF" Discussion UNTIL REED Mentioned Him 1st...

Honestly, the MORE You Post, the LESS REED Thinks of Your Basketball Opinions...And the FACT You Consistently Lean Towards Guys Playing NOW, Says it All...

Which Means it Would Have Been AFTER Kobe "Brought Out and Became a Superstar"...Yet and Still, Him and Shaq NEEDED the Assistance of an Admitted GAMBLING REFEREE, to Get Past Sacramento That Year...

Not Sure HOW that Can Be Held AGAINST Chris Webber...

Zeke Thomas never had a regular season as good as Curry's 2015 and 2016 seasons. That has nothing to do with recency, it's just pure statistical and EYE test fact.

Now, if you ask me would Zeke have performed better in the finals last year than Curry did? My money would be on yes.

But to even get to the finals, it took Curry dropping some pretty impressive performances. There was his first game back in the Blazers series when went into an unreal zone, and ALSO.... game 7 of the WCF when he dropped 36 on your boy Russ.

You're the SAME Guy that BITCHES about LeBron Playing in the "Weaker" Eastern Conference, Yet NOW You Wanna IGNORE that to Prop Up Dwight Howard, who Played in a WEAKER Eastern Conference than Bron Currently Does???...

Howard NEVER Sees the Finals if he's Playing the West, as we SAW When he Played w/Kobe and James Harden in the West...

There's Literally NATHAN YOU Can Tell REED about the Early 00's Kings Teams, Dude...REED's NEVER Invested MORE of Himself Into a Basketball Squad...Make NO Mistake, Chris Webber was "THE Guy"...That's Why Arco Arena Had "C-Webb's House" Banners Along the Side of It...

Peja Stoyakovich was GREAT During the Regular Season and Typically VANISHED in the Playoffs, Particularly vs. the Lakers...Vlade had NATHAN for Shaq and Doug Christie was MORE than Occupied with Kobe...You SAY Bibby was More "Clutch", Yet the Guy LEADING the Team in Scoring, Rebounding, Assists, Blocks, Steals, etc., was Chris Webber...

    FACT!!!!....

But Don't Let the TRUTH Get in the Way of a Good Exaggeration...

    Pretty sure that was 02.

01 the Lakers required no questionable refs. They kicked the shit outta the Kings. Doug Christie was one of the better perimeter defenders in the league at that time, and Kobe bodied him.

The TRUTH is Chris Webber wasn't great at any one thing outside of passing.

Howard had flaws, but he was an AWESOME defender.

I value Howard's OKAY offensive game and GREAT defense over Webber's decent scoring, bad defense, and propensity for disappearing in big games.

Hardly a surprise. Curry's gonna own every meaningful 3-point record by time he retires.

Barring a career-ending injury, he's gonna one day surpass Jesus Shuttlesworth for most threes period.

Say WHATEVER you want about Steph Curry. He can be called overrated.

But it would take a special kind of hater not to acknowledge that he's the best 3-pt shooter the leagues ever had. He is.

    Ray Ray's the 2nd best, and Reggie Miller's 3rd.

I highly doubt Shuttlesworth ever missed so many threes in a game, to answer the question.

Ray Allen was a phenomenal shooter.

Talking Out of the Side of Your Ass, As Usual...

    Here's Howard's Top 7 Scoring Seasons...

    22.9, 20.7, 20.6 (2x), 18.3 (2x), 17.6...

    Here's Webber's Top 7 Scoring Seasons...

    27.1, 24.5 (2x), 23.7, 23.0, 21.3 (2x)...

If Howard's Scoring is "Okay" to You, Webber's HAS to Be Good to VERY Good...It's OBVIOUS You've Never Looked @ his Numbers and You're Only NOW Learning This Shit While Debating REED...When You Said Webber's "BEST Season Couldn't Sniff" an Average Season of KD's, You were CLEARLY Unaware of Him Averaging 27ppg in a Season...No Doubt You're EQUALLY Surprised that he Has Two 24.5ppg Seasons, Though You Probably Won't Admit It...

Webber SCORED More, Was a Better SHOOTER, Had More POST MOVES, Could Actually FACILITATE Offense from the Post AND he Could Take Other PF's and Some SF's Off the Dribble...In Addition to Being Able to Run the Floor and Finish @ the Rim w/the Absolute BEST of Them...There's NO Contest btwn Them Offensively, Just As There Isn't Defensively...

Hell, Even a SHELL of Prime Chris Webber Averaged 20.2, Playing with A.I. in Philly...That'd Be the 5th Highest Average of Howard's ENTIRE Career, yet Doesn't Even Crack CWebb's List...

What "Clutch" Plays Did Dwight Howard EVER Make???...If You're Gonna CRITICIZE Webber in that Regard, Please HIGHLIGHT Instances Where Howard Impressed You in that Way???...

I'm no rookie to the league, bruh.

I know you gotta couple years on me, but I've been following b-ball since the late 80s, and although I'm startin to feel a BIT older now, I still got decent game.

I followed Chris Webber's entire career.

The HYPE surrounding him was always enormous, but truthfully he never lived up to it. PART of that is due to injuries, and part of it is simply because he lacked the takeover, dominate a game late gene that guys like Duncan, Hakeem, Shaq, Barkley, ect... had.

Dwight Howard never lived up his hype either... as a COMPLETE player. Hakeem tried to teach him post moves, failed. Kareem tried to teach him post moves, failed. And finally, McHale tried to teach him post moves, failed. That's three of the best post players ever, but Howard simply didn't have the fluidity to do what they did. So in THAT sense, Howard was a disappointment.

As a DEFENSIVE presence, he lived up to his hype.

He's better than C-Webb because the defensive gap between them was larger than the offensive gap.

And I NEVER said that Howard was some clutch player. I wouldn't want EITHER ONE of these losers taking a final shot for my team.

But if I'm trying to build a contender, I have more faith in building around a healthy, prime Howard than a healthy, prime Webber.
