If Conor is gonna beat Alvarez he has to take the fight right to Eddie, get right up in his face from the start and make it a war. Chandler was able to have success with Alvarez because he showed him no respect and got right in his face and forced the action. If Conor stands back and tries to patiently pick Alvarez apart or land those silly spinning kicks, he's gonna get taken down and beaten up. Conor can't let Eddie breath. He can't let Eddie dictate the pace of the fight. He can't give Eddie time to think. He just needs to come out from the opening bell and attack.

That being said, if he tries that strategy, he better pray it works. Because the second he starts to slow down or get tired, it's Eddie's fight. Alvarez has been in some all out wars in his career. He's as tough as they come. He's like Michael Myers or Jason Vorhees in that you can keep knocking him down, he just gonna keep getting back up. He's changed his balls to wall style of fighting since he's come to the UFC, but he still has it in him if he needs it. He's not gonna get tired before Conor.

I think this fight could end up looking a lot like Edgar\Maynard 3. Conor might hurt Alvarez early, maybe even badly, but Eddie will come back and stop Conor at some point.

Should be a great night of fights, and that crowd is gonna be insane, especially if the Philly contingent shows up.
