Not Much of a Size Difference @ the Weigh In...Fight Night Weights Will Be Interesting...

Walters Needs to Channel his Inner Canelo, Because he Has Very Little Chance of Beating Lomachenko, Sans SIZE ADVANTAGE...

I'm actually more excited for this one than Ward-Kov.

At least we know neither one of these guys will be trying to make it a grapple fest like Son of Gifts.

Welters made it by half a pound and looks in shape so his struggles seem over stated. He'll be a welter-Jr middle by fight time

This fight seems ridiculously over sold for Lomachenko. 11-1? 7-1 coming back? No fucking way.

Loma has a loss to a guy Walters would crush. I don't think Loma has a pro win over anyone that Walters wouldn't crush, does he?

Split decision. I'll pick Walters just because, but I think the fight will be competitive unless someone lands a bomb.

    Yeah, that is too much.

Loma should be the clear favorite, but it shouldn't be overwhelming. Walters is by far the best guy he's ever fought, and he's undefeated with legit pop. Given that there's unanswered questions about Loma's chin and toughness, to totally discount Walters with those odds is overdoing.

If Walters were to win tonight, it'd be an upset, but not a huge one.

We've seen FAAARRR bigger upsets in history happen.

Having said all that.... Loma will beat the Hell outta Walters most likely.

Agreed that Walter is sold short by too many people. THe guy is quality. The thing though is that I'm not sure his style will mesh well with Loma. He's a bit like corrales, a tall guy who like to fight inside, who has a bad defense but huge power, , while Loma is a bit like floyd, a dancer and a beautiful technician but not a huge puncher. And we all saw what happpened in that one.

That's kind of an insult comparison to Chico. Corrales was faaaaaaarrrrrrr more talented than Walters.

Walters can't Crack like Corrales. His best wins were vs flyweights. When he was a Jr welter

I know. But even beyond the power, Corrales was a much more talented offensive technician.

corrales had great hand-speed, great combination punching, and deadly accuracy. walters does not have any of those. walters is crappy if you ask me.

Solid would be a good way to describe him. He's not without skills, and he has pop, but like we said not Corrales pop.

He is gonna get outclassed and thrashed tonight. Barring Loma having a weak chin that we don't know about.

Walters can crack. It doesn't take a weak chin to get hurt by him.

I didn't say he couldn't crack. But so far, it doesn't look like he has fight ENDING power at 130.

But if he catches Loma correctly with his right hand, we'll see what happens...

As I said, FAR bigger upsets have happened...

I'm not saying he's as good as him, I'm saying he fight a bit like him. (Tall guy who fights like him, goes to the body well, and is a master of the short left hook). And also, Loma is not as good as PBF either

That's what I was saying. I don't really see the style similarity either.

Corrales was Arguello-like. Not as good, obviously. But in the same style mold.

I dunno who I'd compare Walters to. Maybe an EXTREMELY poor man's Azumah Nelson would be the best comparison.

To be honest, I don't see any similarities between Arguello and Chico

I don't either. All I can think of is he means a tall guy who could fight inside.
