I thought I watched the directors cut but I didn't notice anything different from my first viewing.

As expected they're going to try and make it funnier than before...to the point where it becomes stupid.

 

I hear you but we must trust Marvel. They've seldom let us down so far. They could just be marketing it that way but it may turn out to be in the same vein as the first or even better.

Agreed. That's a little silly.

Still...in order for the sake of continuity we must remember that Groot "died" at the end of the original and Rocket Racoon had to re-plant him. I guess we can't expect that he would have gotten back to full grown Groot in time for the sequel. I don't think trees grow as fast as xenomorphs.

We'll get back full grown groot in time for Infinity wars.

 

Youre right. DC characters are so bad, that maybe them making a movie with Marvel characters would redeem them...

Awesome sequel!
I thought it'd fall short of the first movie and after the first 20 mins I thought they'd blown it: trying too hard to be funny with 'belly laughs', trying to hard to emulate the original but it really got going about this time and never let up.
The characterization is spot-on, the script is great, the CGI is insane and the songs are cool.

Loved it.

And yeah, Nebula is a sexy beast without the make-up and shaved head. Red-haired Karen Gillan

 

I liked the movie a lot. Better than part I.

 

Don't agree it's better than the first movie.
That fits into the whole 'MCU'.

This movie has no relevance to it.
The humor is more 'slap-stick' as well.

 

Great sequel. Can't wait for the third movie.

Almost as good as the original but a GREAT sequel nevertheless. Only reason why I didn't score it higher was because of the absence of Thanos.

I thought that....but then does the absence of Thanos or any mention of the Infinity Stones detract from it?
Quite a few Marvel movies have only featured the above in the post-credits end-scene.
For me, I marked it down for the inferior 'Awesome Mix Tape Vol 2' and some of the stuff between Quill & his 'Father' Ego, dragged a little....

 

I still haven't watched it. For somereason I am not hyped about this sequel.
