MOVIES IN DISCUSSION OR PREPRODUCTION

This thread is for films that are being talked about, rumored about or in preproduction. List any you've heard about and links don't hurt either.


So far I hear there is a Master P biopic in the works titled King of the South: The Ice Cream man with Queen Latifah signed on to play Master P's mom. For those of you who don't know Master P is rapper from New Orleans who started his own record label and went on to sell over 75 million records. Master P himself plans to over see the film which starts out with him from 5 years old and the rags to riches story of how he went on to work his way out of the ghetto and become a wealthy celebrity. He plans to oversee the project himself and is looking for the type of project along the lines of the recently successful NWA biopic Boyz In The Hood. He also states the film will not focus heavily on the negative stuff he went through as it won't be a shoot em up type typical hood story. He states he wants it to be a family film where others will be inspired to similar success. Let's just hope it isn't another I Got The Hook Up. And for what it's worth I Got The Hook Up 2 is in the works as well staring P's son, Lil Romeo.

Legendary has purchased the rights to Dune which include both televison and movie rights.

I want to see Thor Ragnarok

 

They're working on a movie right now, where people are in space, and then stuff happens, and then they're in danger, and then more stuff happens. Some people get killed, but not all of them. They have to beat the clock to save themselves because oxygen is running out and an asteroid, or a comet, or a satellite, or a sun, or a planet might hit them. It's real nail-biting and there's a good chance there will be a scene where there's a bunch of people on the ground coordinating the rescue effort. Sometimes they will be sad, sometimes they will be tense, and there's a good chance by the end of the movie they will be celebrating something and people will be crying with joy.

I can't remember the name right now. You guys know about this at all?
