  2. Yeah looks pretty good ending to a good trilogy...

Perhaps it won't end with a third part.

  4. I initially thought that....but then I thought what can they do with it beyond the end of a war?
Other than a new series of movies set hundreds of years in the future where human astronauts get caught in a time-warp and end up on Earth as they did in the first Planet Of The Apes movie in 1969

    Looks good.

My favourite is still the 1968 film.

  6. Outstanding from start to finish.

One of the greatest endings to a movie ever.

That is the one I am most looking forward to see.I hope they do it after this one since this trilogy has been basically a re-imagined remake of the Caesar trilogy from the original franchise that ended with 'Battle for the Planet of the Apes'.

Or they could put a twist on that story. Say there is a team that went to Mars during the whole time between the outbreak of the disease and the war and have no clue about the war and once they come back to earth from the Mars trip they have to put the whole story together.

Woody always plays an excellent villain. Therefore this is probably worth seeing.

  10. 4th movie already in preparation

How come he is the bad guy? He is fighting for humanity's survival.

Looks good. The re-boot of this franchise has exceeded my expectations by quite a bit. :bears:

In Rise of The Planet of The Apes they linked the original Charlton Heston plot as in one scene someone was watching on tv the launching of the spaceship Icarius...which was the name of the ship of Taylor (Heston) & crew!!!

I hope we can get the Taylor storyline in that one with the Apes in full control of the planet. Maybe then we can forget the Tim Burton/Mark Wahlberg fiasco.

  15. Tbh, that idiot-Director's deformed-fetus-of-an-attempt has been long forgotten...

Maybe by you. The epic disappointment I got watching that film on its opening weekend still haunts me to this day.

  17. Woody is excellent, period! Phenomenal actor.

He is a phenomenal actor in general, but not every quality actor can play a good villain. The vast majority can only play quality protagonists.

Personally, I think Woody is actually at his BEST as a villain.

  19. I don't think I've seen in in a villainous role. The performance of his I was most impressed by was Indecent Proposal. but we digress...

As underrated as Woody is as an actor, he'll still always be Billy Hoyle to me.

  22. no doubt.

he was SUPERB in Indecent Proposal though. I felt his pain in that one. Flawless performance.

You and me both my brother. In fact I still don't know which was a bigger disappointment to me (or straight up worse film), Burton's Planet of The Apes, or the remake of The Island Of Doctor Moreau both of which I saw early at the theater.

Ever seen the documentary about the making of the remake of Dr. Moreau? It's called "Lost Soul". It might be still be on Netflix. Excellent documentary!

After watching it, you'll understand why that movie failed and was so horrible. Most bizarre and dysfunctional movie cast of all time.

Plus, Brando and Kilmer despised eachother, that didn't help the movie's cause.

This is one movie-franchise that actually gets better with each movie....

I have already seen this trailer. Or is this some kind of weird Mandella effect shit?

  29. Well done. Just checking to see if people are aware and awake...

Oh, God! That was an awful remake too! it had potential to be something unique, but it was blown away by the internal fights between, well, practically EVERYBODY on the set! Yeah, that documentary that Xplosive mentions is really good and explains why this turned out so bad. I made a review thread about it like a year ago or so.
