REED with his Westbrook groupie agenda is unable to accept the fact that both he and Harden are having superb seasons, and that Harden has a legit case at winning the award.

Like it or not, at this rate Harden WILL win MVP. That's just the way the NBA works.

Of course, REED will cry that Westbrook was robbed, but it won't be true. Either one is worthy of the award, but Harden's gonna get it.

Westbrook tonight goes 9/28. 2/10 from three and some crucial misses/TO's down the stretch.

But yeah, he blows Harden out the water...

I'm simply the only one between the two of us calling it objectively. There's plenty of NBA players throughout history who I had zero love for, yet give credit to.

Hell, I don't like fake ass Tragic Johnson one bit... but he's one of the greatest/best to ever play this game.

I hate Harden, but I'm giving him credit for having an MVP caliber season thus far.

They're BOTH having great seasons. But let's call it objectively and bring just as much attention to Westbrook's bad games as Harden's.

What's FACTUAL is that Westbrook is scoring on slightly higher volume, but that Harden scores more efficiently... not JUST because he gets to the line so much, but because he's a much better shooter.

They both can get to the rim at will, but in different ways. Russ gets there because of how freakishly quick and athletic he is. Harden gets there because he's craftier than WB, and has arguably the best handles in the league along with Irving.

SPARE REED Your "Beacon of Objectivity" Bullshit, X...You're EVERY BIT as Biased as Any Other Motherfucker @ Fightbeat, Bruh...REED's Been Posting w/You for the BETTER Part of 20 Years Now, and KNOWS Your Ass in that Regard...

Why Do YOU Give a Fuck that REED Doesn't Bring as Much Attention to Westbrook's Bad Games as he Does Harden's???...Why Does THAT Bother You???...Because You're BIASED, that's Why...Last Time REED Checked, he WASN'T Obligated to Speak Glowingly about Anybody...

Funny Thing is, REED's Never 1nce Suggested Harden Sucked, Couldn't Play or WASN'T In the MVP Discussion...Hell, Just the Other Day, Neil Noted Harden Scoring MORE Points in Fewer Minutes/Attempts (or Something to that Effect), to Which REED Responded, "That's NOT Surprising, Harden's a BETTER Shooter"...Guess You MISSED that Post, Huh???...

More than That, REED's 1 of the Few that Actually Notes Harden's "Sneaky Athleticism" as a Means to his Success, Along w/the Ballhandling and "Craft" that Even a Blind Man Could See...Never 1nce Seen You Respond when REED's Made Those Type of Comments, Either...

If Your Goal is for REED to Praise/Criticize Westbrook/Harden to the SAME Degree, You're WASTING Your Fucking Time, Homey...Harden DOESN'T Deserve it, Frankly...Dude had a SHAMEFUL 2015 Campaign, which RIGHTFULLY "Earned" him a Spot on NONE of the All-NBA Teams, AND a "Shaqtin a Fool" MVP Award...Yet LESS than Half a Fucking Season Later, REED's Supposed to CLEAN Harden's Slate???...Fuck That...

That's YOUR Prerogative to Do So, but Please DON'T Attempt to Force YOUR Preferences on REED...

Yes, Harden's IN the MVP Discussion (Happy???), but the CLEAR Favorite @ this Point is Russell Westbrook...That's IRREFUTABLE...For Every Basketball Player or Media Type that Says Harden's the Front Runner, there's 5-10 Screaming Westbrook's Name...& If he Continues to AVERAGE a 30pt Triple Double, it's a Fucking WRAP, Bruh...HISTORY...Oscar Robertson Level Shit...

And Duly Note, Houston's Only 5.5 Games Better than OKC, as REED Types...That's Not Hardly a Big Enough Win/Loss Margin to Side w/Harden Over Westbrook...Sorry...

    DISGRACEFUL...

Harden Clearly LEANED INTO the Defender, Bumped him Off, Faded Away, Air Balled, THEN the Ref Called the Foul...Then he Does the Reggie Miller Leg Kick, to Draw Another Foul...

REED's Seen a THOUSAND Summer League Rec Games, as Such...Never, EVER Seen Them Call Fouls THAT Fucking Weak...EVER...

Fuuuuurther Video EVIDENCE of How Harden BAITS Refs and Junks Up Games...He's THE Most Free Throw RELIANT Player REED's Ever Seen in his 40+ Years...Summer Pro-Ams Like that AREN'T Supposed to Be Free Throw Festivals...Guys are Supposed to Get Up and Down the Court, Show Off their Dribble Moves, Shooting Prowess/Range, Fancy Passes, Dunks, Post Moves, etc...NOT their Ability to GOAD Refs into Buying the CLEAR Brand of Bullshit they're Selling...

Refs RARELY Even Have their Whistles in their Mouf's, During Games Like This...It's Like a TOUCH Foul in a Harlem Globetrotter or And-1 Mixtape Level Game...BULLSHIT...

Honestly, REED just LOST his Appetite Watching this Shit...

its a legit stat, factoring in 3 point percentage since those shots have more value.

you guys are grasping at straws with that clip of harden at the drew league (which is legit competition). the guy touched him on the arm while he was shooting the ball, causing him to airball. thats a pretty cut & dried call for refs at any level of basketball.

they want nBA stars to come play there so theyre not gonna short change them on plays that would discourage them to keep showing up. Bryant and James have been there too and Im sure you could find plays where they got the benefit of the doubt

If im playing a pickup game and barely touch a guy on his elbow as he is releasing a jump shot its pretty hard to argue if he calls a foul.

We live in the advance stats age in basketball. And personally, I think it's 95% bullshit. I've been on some forums where people have used advanced stats to try and justify CP3 having a better prime than Kobe, which is quite ridiculous.

But you don't even really need any of the advance stats to know that Harden's a more efficient scorer and playmaker than WB, despite not scoring at the same volume.

There's nobody on this forum that's a beacon of objectivity. We ALLL have our biases.

However, in the case of WB/Harden... I have no dog in the fight. I'm not a FAN of either, but I strongly DISLIKE Harden, whereas I have zero dislike for Russ.

I just think you're underrating Harden.

"Shameful" 2015? C'monnnnnnn.... stop with the bullshit. Harden was a top 5 player in 2015, and had an excellent playoff run, leading the Rockets out of a 3-1 hole against that choker loser CP3. He also performed well against GS in the Conference Finals, but Curry was just too good and the GS too deep for Houston to have a chance.

At some point, you have to give a player his props despite the hate.

I was wrong about Harden, because I once said that he was no better than Michael Redd. He's clearly way better than Redd, so I can admit I was very wrong about him.

Granted, I eat crow for being wrong about Russ as well. I once said he was on the same level as Steve Francis, and obviously, he went on to become light years better than Francis ever was.

Stepping away from the Harden/WB debate, that first sentence is what I don't like about the current NBA. The over-reliance of the three. A three pointer doesn't have more "value" than a mid range jumper, it's just one more point.

Analytics are doing more harm than good to the league IMO, as they've basically made most teams abandon the mid range jumper.

Teams are taking too many fucking threes, and as a result I'm not enjoying watching the NBA as much as I used to.

Layups and threes, that's all the league has become.

Demar Derozan is probably the only wing player left who makes his living in the mid range, rather than chucking a thousand threes.

Maybe Steph had something to do with players attempting to jack a thousand threes, but Curry's a rare three point shooter.

It's one thing for Steph Curry or Kevin Durant to jack up threes, but now fucking BROOKE LOPEZ is shooting them.

    Threes are ruining the game.

Effective and True FG% numbers do have a place in the game. It does make it difficult to compare era's when the 3 wasn't as pronounced as it is now and shouldn't be used to compare players from different eras. One of them also factors in FT%, which is useful when calibrating the efficiency of a player who can hit an occasional three, but freezes up at the FT line.

It should not replace post play, defense, attempting to get offensive rebounds, finishing a basket and getting a three the old fashioned way, and turnovers however.

Harden IS more efficient then Westbrook. You can't deny that. I'd still take Westbrook over Harden a thousand times over. Just having to look at that tiny eyed beaver pelt throughout the course of an entire season, has to drive his team-mates to the brink of madness.

I can't see any other reason to take WB over Harden other than being more exciting and more likable. Westbrook's exciting, he plays with a chip on his shoulder, and goes 110% of every play. But it has yet to translate into any REAL team success for him as the primary offensive option.

Whereas two years ago, Harden was the focal point of a 56 win team that made the Conference Finals, only to be knocked off by a 67 win Warriors team. Really, a Warriors team that was BETTER than last year's version, despite not having as good a RS record.

I dunno if I can see Westbrook leading a 55+ win team. I think if you replace Harden with Westbrook, the Rockets get worse.

I'm glad that Chicago decided to take that fraud Rondo out of the rotation.

Hopefully no other team ever gives him a chance and he just disappears.

There's no other player in history who owes their stardom to other players the way Rondo does.

Without KG, Pierce, and Ray Ray, nobody ever gives a shit about Rondo and he's likely never an all star.

Very good passer, and a pretty good defender in his prime, but offensively he was pathetic. The big three took so much of the defensive attention that he was able to thrive. Soon as they left him, he became the scrub I always said he was.

As I said, the big three taking up all the defensive attention is what allowed Rondo to thrive on that team.

You can basically replace Rondo with 10 PG's of today and Boston still wins that title.

Not even a superstar PG like Curry, Paul, or Westbrook.

You can put a guy like John Wall, Kemba Walker, or even a healthy Mike Conley next to the big three, and they still win a ring.

There was a TIME when the media was saying that Rondo was better than Paul. Much as I can't stand Chris Paul, I always laughed when they said that horseshit.

Let's not pretend that Rondo was a pivotal piece of that championship team. KG, and Pierce were the two most important pieces.

Rondo was a good complementary piece aka role player. That's what he was.... a ROLE PLAYER. A role player who was hyped like a franchise player.

Wade benched for the majority of the 4th and all of a sudden spacing happens, allowing the Bulls to go 4-1 against the Cavs in the last five games
