Saw Franchise appreciation thread

What a great franchise!!

 

I like 'em....it's a good franchise. I appreciate all the methods used to punish people.....

 

N jigsaw wife in the series....delicious always....fake tits and all...

 

I think 1 & 3 were the best ones.

 

I only remember the 1st and part of the 2nd...everything else just merges together...I just remember the killings..

Though some are brutal for me the worse way for me to die would be with the walls closing in..

I hear this is Anthony's favorite franchise.

 

I must be sick minded...but I was fascinated by all of the ingenious ways jigsaw (and his followers and successors) found to trap people. Plus the films had great flow and nice twisty endings. Great work.

 

Its a pretty shit franchise, tbh....the first movie Saw was original and entertaining.
The it just descends into a whole series of ´Hey, how about we kill this guy....in this utterly ridiculous and non-suspense-of-audiences´-belief manner!!´

It´s for simpletons, really...

 

Some of the traps and twists are just genius.

 

I agree with DM. The franchise did kinda regress after the third, just because the concept got old.

Similar to Final Destination. I loved the first two.... but after that the franchise got pretty dull and repetitive. But Final Destination wasn't exactly born under an original concept. It was born under the "Twenty-Two" from The Twilight Zone.

Don't get why anyone would go out and watch any of these films about cunts being tortured to death. Does not compute

 

Then you definately wouldnt like Hostel:

I really liked them. Its comedy gold, the sheer ridiculousness of it. Like the one (saw4??) where the person has the shit strapped to their neck ready to explode if they dont successfully perform brain surgery on jigsaw. The plots are off the hook!!! Plus the killings are pretty cool/grotesque.

 

I particularly like the trap where the walls are closing in. I think it's SAW 5. Terrible way to go.

Those films are fucking awful. Those might make my list if I didn't consider the "Transformers" movies less torture porn, and more audience torture.

Eli Roth really hates idealistic college aged kids. It's a weird theme through almost all his movies.

 

Yeah, this was already posted in this thread. You don't even read replies to your own threads/posts, you don't consider or care about anyone's opinion but your own.
