...without your parents? For me it is very difficult to remember my first movie experience with my mom as she took us to the movies every Sunday since we were toddlers, BUT I remember vividly my first movie going without my mom AND I also remember my first movie experience in the first 'mall' movie theater built in the first shopping of our town.

First film I watched without a parent:

Operacion 67 I was seven years old

First movie I watched in a gorgeous A+ spanking brand new cinema at the Cayey Twins Theaters:

    Valdez is Coming
    I was 10 years old

I think it was Treasure of the Four Crowns. It was a terrible 3D movie that came out in 83.

Oh my fault, my lazy intoxicated ass didn't real the OP, just the title.

When I was seven, I saw The Garbage Pail Kids movie with my sister and cousin. It was okay when I was a little kid, but I'm sure if I saw it now I would think it's terrible. Just like Howard the Duck. It was actually somewhat enjoyable when I was 7-8 years old.

No idea probably something shite. I think the first one I saw period was Jurrasic park which I remember well but we're talking something a few years after that. I have a dim memory of being incomprehensibly bored watching Apollo 13 so it might've been that

  16. Sly is lying in order to try and make himself appear cool.

    He´s in his 40s.
So, no theater would ever let a hideous, small-bodies, horse-looking nikka like him into a movie-theater playing movies rated ´R´.
So, that makes him eligable for such a movie in his mid teens...if he´s lucky.
Basically he´s saying from ages 2 (when youre aware and conscious of wtf is going on) until 15...he never set foot in a theater.

    Lying horse-face, horse-shitted fuck.

Panchy you almost had a really good thread here but you ruined it when you added the "without your parents" part. For one thing I think it's more interesting to hear people's first overall movie and secondly I think it's way too hard to remember the first film you ever saw alone.

First film overall may have been:
    King King (1976)

First Film without my parents may have been:
Blade runner or Beast Master (1982)

Funny thing is as hyped as Blade Runner is I find Beast Master a much more enjoyable picture and if you forced me to watch one of them today I'm choosing Beast Master.

The opposite is true to most people, me included: most people don't remember the very first film they watched at the movies with their parents, but hell yeah, we remember when we thought 'I am BIG NOW because I went to the movies without my parents".

I have very vague remote memories of my earliest film experience with my mom. Most likely was a Mexican movie since her favorite movie theater played only Mexican or Spaniard films on the Sunday's matinee, but American movies at night times during the week.

  22. Distinctly remember mine being Star Wars because we had to get the 7pm bus back home and run like fuck to make it in time for the TV premiere of 'The Incredible Hulk' at 730pm!

I'm feeling that. I was a die hard Incredible Hulk fan as a kid. It was my first action figure and favorite comic back then. I watched every episode of every season of the show too.

First movie I can remember watching was Ghostbusters at a drive in on Oahu. Sadly my first and only drive in experience.

The earliest movie that I can remember in a theater is The Karate Kid. What an awesome day that was.

I have been thinking a lot about those earliest movie theater memories and my oldest memory, very faded one, is from a 'Neutron vs Dr. Caronte' (1960) I must have been one year old. I dunno if it is possible that I can remember so far back or maybe it was a re-release, but I do remember these two masked dudes fighting at a big screen movie house and some ladies in bikinis.

I also remember very well 'El lobo Blanco' (1962) & 'Cleopatra' (1962) as we couldn't finish watching 'Cleopatra' because it was so damned LONG that when we came out it was already dark and we missed the last bus to return home. So we walked a few miles to our aunt's house and stayed that night there. when we returned the next morning my grandma was yelling at my mom for being 'irresponsible' as she was worried to death of what happened to all of us that didn't return home the day before. We didn't have a phone at our house so there was no way to let her know what happened.

  27. Did you get "road head" at the drive in?

Yeah I don't see many drive in cinemas anymore.
