Just finished the season. Fucken good show, that one. Excellent casting and acting. Great story setups. Brilliant piece of art.

 

See? The dumb idiots on here who have no idea (or more likely, too much ignorance on the recent history and slow decay of a country/monarchy that owned 70% of the fuckin globe) dismiss it without even watching a single episode...

Having said that.....some of it was very inaccurate, historically.

 

She looks here like an older version of Katy Perry.

 

I watched it when on its first week of release on Netflix. It was very good, but not better than 'Game of Thrones' season six, not even close.

 

Agreed. Nothing is better than any season of game of thrones...let's be real. But the Crown is excellent in its own right though.

 

Season five of GOT was the lamest one to be honest. Only two episodes saved it from total mediocrity.

 

Fear not, this is next on my list. I am going to check it out so stay tuned.

The casting is generally very good except for the guys that Play the two former kings. Still...each acted very well and played their roles well although they didn't look the part.

Now hold on a second Sly. This is pretty much the exact same argument you gave for refusing to watch The OJ Made In America show when everyone was saying how good that show is.

You and Anthony should make a deal. Sly will give OJ a chance if Anthony gives The Crown a chance, meaning you both have to watch at least the first episode or in OJ's case the first hour if it runs longer.

I did a similar deal with a co-worker. He got me to start watching his favorite show True Blood and I got him to start mine Game Of Thrones. The end result? I watched the whole series of True Blood (although that had more to do with the missus liking it than me) and he hated Thrones and stopped watching. Only guy I ever met who didn't like it.

 

It's not exactly the same thing, but I see your point. The difference is that the OJ saga has been played to DEATH over the last 25 years. There hasn't been any coverage in recent years on the Queen's early reign.

Nevertheless...You're right, I shouldn't dismiss this OJ documentary without giving it a try...and I'll be (reluctantly) willing to make that deal with Anthony.
