In fact, I found the original airing date for the show (for UK anyway): Friday May 26th 1978

Back in the day, the USA always had movies way ahead of the rest of Europe, and Star Wars was no exception: One year.

First ones I have vague memories of with my parents are King Kong (Jessica Lange version) and Island of Dr. Moreau (Burt Lancaster, Michael York version at a drive-in). I guess King Kong would have been first.

Jessica Lange in that movie was my first-ever proper crush (Jane Seymour in Live And Let Die being the actual first, 3 years before).....and when I admitted it at school the next day I got destroyed mercilessly by the other boys in my class.

    The bastards!

Good choices. I believe my first was Jacqueline Bisset in "The Deep".

.....and if by "crush" you mean, nearly pulling your own pecker off in private with your best friend "Lefty", then yes, I guess it was a "crush".

Also remember a "crush" on some broad named Maud Adams, who was a Bond girl, but I remember her most from a weird-ass movie she did with Bruce Dern called "Tattoo". What the fuck I was doing watching that at 10 years old, I have no idea.

Nah. Having a crush as a kid - is nothing like fancying a woman sexually - two totally different things.

The women that I had those urges for....I cant even remember who was the first.

Well, by those standards then it was probably Lucille Ball. I definitely would have got beat up on the playground if THAT ever came to light.

My first crush was a tie between Mexican blonde bombshell Sylvia Pinal & Spanish seductress Sarita Montiel. Young Sylvia Pinal produced impure thoughts in Panchy's childhood, but Sarita Montiel took the prize by making boy Panchy pull it out and wank!

Lucy was a beautiful woman, though... it often gets overlooked because she was so funny

Beautiful my ass. Cute, yes, but don't act like she was some Elizabeth Taylor, Grace Kelly or Raquel Welsh.

Her younger version was more naturally attractive. My problem with older Lucille Ball is the excess of make-up particularly too much lipstick.

Wow what a question. One I've never really thought of before. I think it was ET. I was real young so not 100% sure. I remember seeing Jedi and The dark crystal but I think ET was the first.

Edit: like everyone else I didn't read the op. Not sure in this case.

The first R-rated film I watched was a lame Spanish horror movie, whose title escapes me now since it didn't work at all as a scary film, but oh boy, did that movie had gratuitous sex every 10 minutes or so! I think I was 9 or 10 years old, I went to my local cinema with my brother, who is a year older, lured by the 'reviews' of one of our pals who told us it was almost rated X. At that time there was zero enforcement of age restriction. No one care, except parents. So me & my bro were kind of scared of being 'caught' when all the hanky panky started. Eventually our mom found out we watched that 'forbidden movie' and got firmly reprimanded...it was worth it!

Panchy. ..what was your first home 'R' rated movie?
Ours was in the mid-70s: on Saturday nights they'd show a horror double-bill after the soccer highlights...in this case 'The Wolfman' followed by 'Son Of Frankenstein'...we had to lower the volume and brightness so as not to get busted!

I am amazed you can't remember one of your first milestones of independence while growing up. You should even remember the day of the week and the smell of stale popcorn!

Same here. I can't even remember what I did last Sunday!

R-rated at home was when vhs came out in the early 80s, but that was too tame since we had already watched lot of porn movies at our local cinema during the early to mid-70s, We first watched the 'artistic erotic films' like 'Emanuelle: Joys of a woman' which to this date I still don't get why it was so popular; '100 Days of Sodom' (disgusting), "Cry Uncle" (kind of funny softcore film), "Fellini's Casanova' (weird movie with Donald Sutherland) and from there we moved to hardcore no-plot porn whose titles were so generic and lame were not worth remembering.

I remember going to see Gladiator back in the late 90s and right after the opening battle scene, some dude, clearly smashed out of his face, stood up, hakf-crouched, wobbling like a jelly and fucking puked all over the floor between some empty seats....the most amount Ive ever seen...like Mr Creosote it was.

He then staggered out the theater...
