Shaq was supposed to fight Barkley in an MMA fight and then Barkley conceded

REED, you gotta understand... Shaq and Barkley debate each other and quarrel for ratings. The show would be completely devoid of any appeal if they agreed on everything. The producers probably URGE them to disagree and fight.

I doubt Shaq feels compelled to one-up Chuck. Shaq's a top 10 all time great, Barkley isn't. Shaq have the rings.... have Barkley any rings?

Of course Barkley's a top 25 all time great. Easily. But Shaq at his peak was ARGUABLY the most dominant player ever.

The Show has ALWAYS Been Great, Even Pre-Shaq...Honestly, REED Doesn't Think Shaq's Intelligent Enough to INTENTIONALLY Bicker w/Barkley Just for Ratings...

Shaq KNOWS he was the Better Player, he LIKES Rubbing it in Charles' Face, and he THINKS He Should Be the Star of the Broadcast...That's Why they Bicker...Unfortunately, that's IRRELEVANT when it Comes to their Commentary...Barkley's an INFINITELY More Entertaining and Engaging Speaker...The REASON the Show is Successful is Charles Barkley...

If Shaq Got the Boot Manana, Few if Any Would Notice...

I was a huge barkley fan growing up and as of now he is a top 25 player. but as the years go by i think he'll no longer be considered as such. new generation guys will surpass him in ability and accomplishments. as it stands now Id rank these guys as greater than barkley:

    Jordan
    M. Johnson
    Bird
    Abdul Jabbar
    Chamberlain
    Russell
    L. James
    Duncan
    Olajuwon
    O. Robertson
    S. O'neal
    Bryant
    Garnett

then you got debatable guys like W. Frazier, E. Hayes, K. Malone, J. West, Baylor, I. Thomas, M. Malone, Nowitzki, Wade, Pierce, Durant

then you got younger guys like Curry, Towns, A. Davis, etc

Barkley's Greatness Should Be Based on his TRUE Height, Physique, and the FACT He Excelled Anyways, Given Those EVER PRESENT Limitations...

I like the Big Ticket but seriously. Saying he's inarguably better than two of the best power forwards ever is a stretch.

Garnett was one of the best defenders I've seen. A force defensively. I'd rather take him over either Malone or barkley if I had my choice. Although barkley was more entertaining to watch

I think Kevin Garnet is possibly THE most overrated of the greats. I'd take Duncan, Malone, Dirk, and Barkley over him.

People might not remember this, but Barkley was a fucking BEAST in the 93 finals. Really he was amazing in that series. It's that Jordan was in GOD MODE and averaged better than 40 a game in the series.

KG could never single handedly carry a team as well as Chuck did that 93 Suns team. He just wasn't good enough as a scorer to handle it.

Isiah Thomas is NOT... NOT.... fucking NOT individually greater or better than Barkley.

Isiah won two rings because that Bad Boys team was STACKED and BALANCED. Minus those rings, the narrative about him would be totally different.

Barkley was a better player than Thomas, period. Thomas was closer to the level of Kevin Johnson than Charles Barkley.

    Paul Pierce over Barkley?????????????????

LMFAAAAAOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! Ohhhh for fucks sake, I stopped reading.

Someone like Wade I can agree with. I'd probably put Wade over Barkley. D-Wade has the rings, the dominant finals performance and an awesome peak.

But Paul Pierce???? Nahhhhh man. Pierce wasn't in the same realm as Barkley. Chuck was CON...SIDERABLY better than Pierce.

    You gotta be kidding me....

Duncan could elevate a franchise like few other players in history.

Towns has young talent around him and the Wolves are horrible.

Defensively, Duncan was a light year ahead of Towns, and offensively his game was more refined.

I PROMISE you, that homo Towns will not go down as a top 10 all time great. Cause right now, his numbers are empty. The Wolves ain't winning shit.

Put a young Duncan on the Wolves, and they're EASILY a top 3-4 team in the West.

Yeah, Barkley was a better scorer then Garnett, but Garnett did almost everything else better then Barkley.

Before Garnett came to Boston and willingly started to sacrifice his numbers and his minutes, he was a fucking beast for the T-Wolves. He was even hovering around 6 assists a game for much of his time there, while turning the ball over very little for a big who handled the ball as much as he did.

I'd certainly take prime Garnett over Barkley.

KG was Unselfish to a FAULT, but Make No Mistake, there were ZERO Holes in his Game...

THE Most Versatile BIG that Ever Lived...Could LITERALLY Defend Any Position on the Court, in his Prime...

    THIS...

If the Argument is, "Who Takes the Last Shot to Win the Game, Barkley or KG?", the Answer is Barkley...But if the Argument is "Who Do You Pick as the Cornerstone of your Franchise?", it's KG...

KG Averaged a QUIET 20ppg for Many Years, but he was a STUD Rebounder, Man to Man Defender, he Passed and he was SELFLESS...

That 93 Suns team wins a ring if not for a guy named Michael Jordan going superhuman.

I think prime Barkley was more capable of taking a team to a championship than KG as "the man".

I know KG actually won a ring, but not without the help of two other HOFmers.

Surround T-Wolves version of Garnett with prime Kevin Johnson, Ainge and Majerle spreading the floor shooting 3's efficiently, Mark West as the enforcer, Tom Chambers AND Cedric Ceballos coming off the bench, and Garnett would have been knocking on the door for a possible title every year to.

Both Garnett and Barkley struggled to KO a hapless losing record 8th seed team, with Barkley's Suns actually needing to win 3 in a row (with the fifth deciding game going to OT) to survive against a hobbled 39-43 Lakers team

As for towns he would be a junior at Kentucky right now. Duncan stayed 4 years at wake

How the Spurs lucked into Robinson AND Duncan; both dominant 4 year guys with great heads on their shoulders who were polished NBA players the second they stepped on the court, I'll never know.

24, but yeah. 4 years of Naval college and I think another year of naval service before he stepped foot on the court......and the Spurs win the lottery and are just sitting there waiting for him. Then there's Duncan who could have left school earlier; just happened to wait around for Robinson to get hurt, the Spurs to tank for a single season, win the lottery, and HE falls right in their lap.

If he comes out a year or two earlier, or Robinson never gets hurt, San Antonio doesn't get him.
