How does a non-fat Tua fare against Joshua?

I'd take Tua by late KO.

Joshua, probably easily. Tua was awful

  4. You would.

Tua couldn't stop Byrd. The size difference between Joshua and tua in the ring would be ridiculous. All Joshua need donin that fight is jab and clinch and he wins easily.

Tua beat better fighters than Joshua has.

His best win is DOMINIC BREAZLE! Let that sink in...

FFS that's such a SHIT way to gauge matches like this  Tua's career is over, Joshua's is 18 fights in. Yes he doesn't have any huge names on his record yet and I would understand your point if he was dropping rounds on the regular to these guys or getting dropped every other fight but that hasn't happened, he's won most fights with ease. No his chin or heart haven't been tested yet but why is the default assumption always that it's shit?

If Joshua takes out Wlad in one round in a couple of months then he has already bettered any win from Tua. Then what happens? Is it suddenly an easy fight for Joshua?

  7. Exactly, it drives me NUTS when people use this type of logic. Before Foreman fought Frazier is best win was.....Chuvalo? Frazier had beaten Ali. With that logic Frazier should have destroyed Foreman. It's not always about "who they fought" what's more telling is "how easily they've beaten who they fought".

And what was Ali's best win when he beat liston? Tyson best when he beat berbick, foreman's best when he beat frazier? It isn't an argument

besides tua's best wins were come behind wins over a gassed hasim Rahman and a cholophyl green maskaev. If you can keep moving for 12 rounds against tua you win by default, he physically can't punch and move at once. He was pish

I have doubts about Joshua's chin and and defense and I dunno how his stamina holds up for 12 rounds under pressure.

My money would be on Tua catching him late and brutally KOing his roided up ass.

    96 Tua has become underrated.

Yeah either way it's just guess work with joshua at this stage, he could go into dominate for 10 years or he could get sparked in the first round by wald pussy....somebody could dig these threads up in a few years and I'll look like a total eejit

'hut thought joshua could beat tua and ibeabuchi :atu:'

But I'd be pretty confident, tbh. joshua is 4 inches taller than rahman who was beating tua easy with a jab and basic movement until that hook WAY after the bell (which really mightve warranted a dq)

Obviously Joshua can win rounds but to actually win the fight he'd need to demonstrate stamina, late round consistency and a good enough chin to handle an occasional bomb. He hasn't had a chance to show any of that and assuming he has it is just wishful thinking.

It's not wishful thinking, it's a guess. Same as surmising he doesn't is a guess.

  14. Not just that....surely we evaluate these matchups in the manner of "innocent until proven guilty". Xplosive and others assume a guy has no chin and no stamina etc if the guy hasn't had a chance to prove it as yet. You just can't do that.

Basically, based on what we know so far, Joshua should be the pick.

Ive got no problem with people guessing any which way but that's what we're doing. We won't know til we know. I'll be interested to see his weight vs wlad, hopefully it doesn't keep creeping up, the lighter the better for a guy that size I think

Do you think it's logical to just assume any boxer has a dependable chin, world class stamina and 12 round focus before he's been hit with a good punch or gone past 6 rounds?

  17. No and neither is it logical to just assume that he doesn't have those attributes

Those attributes are a lot more rare than they are common so it's most logical to assume someone doesn't have them then to assume they do.

Lebron James is strong, athletic, coordinated, under stands footwork, etc Would you assume he'd be a great boxer because he'd have a good chin and be able to fight under pressure and pace himself the distance?
