Ben Affleck quits as director for the Batman solo film. After his latest film Live by Night bombed miserably with a total worldwide gross of just $18.7 million, Affleck is rethinking his projects and admits he can't do both jobs at the same time(main star and director), so he wants to concentrate merely on his performance as an actor in that project.

 

Batffleck! Best Batman so far. Tad ahead of bale...and miles ahead of quirky midget Big head (Keaton)

 

Affleck's portrayal is over hyped. He was decent. It's not like Batman is a complex character. Keaton is still the best Batman.

I need to see him in a full length standalone before I decide. Has the potential to be the best portrayal but right now, I still like Keaton the best.

 

Keaton, Bale and Affleck were all pretty good....

Word. Kilmer was the worst Batman & worst Bruce Wayne. At least Clooney looked the part in the costume and he didn't change his voice.

There is media speculation that Marvel might finally get Namor, The Submariner to the screen in the on-and-off Inhumans project. Namor would be a supporting character though. This might or might not be true as it seems every year we hear that Namor is coming back to Marvel and then nothing happens.


Mel Gibson has been offered the directorial duties for Suicide Squad 2. While Gibson has never expressed any interest in making a comicbook adaptation, he has been quoted saying that the cast of the film is what attracts him. Gibson has always expressed his wish of working with Will Smith and Smith himself proposed Gibson as director to the producers.

 

And how has this gone down with the Suicide Squad Snowflakes? ::

 

I actually think a Dead Shot stand alone film would probably be better than another Suicide Squad film. It's addition by subtraction, kind of like Michael Jackson without the other Jackson's.

 

You think that Smith's Dead Shot was good enough to greenlight a spin-off film? I could make a case for Harley Quinn, but not for Deadshot.

Who the fuck wants to see a Harley Quinn film? Maybe perverts like you, but when you think about it her only real power is being sexy. Deadshot on the other hand was a certified badass and lots of people liked the character.

 

I'm glad the Batman film is having problems. Sick of that overrated character getting so much hype.

 

He does get a lot of hype but at the same time having Afflect play him over Bale is like night and day. Affleck IMO doesn't have the charisma to play an action character, he's too damn boring. Affleck is a much better Batman and Bruce Wayne and he's better off in an action flick while Bale should stick to dramas.

 

I can feel what you're saying. By the way which character is more overrated IYO: Batman or Spiderman?

 

Suicide Squad had only TWO recognizable characters for the average moviegoer: The Joker & Harley Quinn. People did not sent to watch Will Smith, whose star power has faded badly in recent years. Yes, a Harley Quinn movie starring Margot Robbie can make more money than a solo Will Smith Deadshot movie.

 

I disagree. She's a side character. The Kramer of that film. A solo film would be awful.

Deadshot getting his own film is also a bad idea. The guy is supposed to be an unrepentant killer but Smith played him like a hero.

 

FOX is hinting at yet ANOTHER Fantastic Four reboot and still don't want to make a deal with Marvel...IDIOTS!!!
