Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is the best Jim Carey movie.

I agree with DM. Trueman Show is a decent movie, but I never really liked it.

Jim Carey is about as funny as a dying child.

Disagree about EDTV, but totally agree about those Carrey films. The Truman Show was a very good film, but has little replay value. On the other hand I can watch 'Liar Liar' and the Ace Ventura movies many times and still entertains me. 'Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind' bored me terribly. I can't see what some people like about it.

Funny thing is I HATE comedians...and I especially hate stupid silly over the top comedians. Couldn't stand Robin Williams...and absolutely can't stand Ben Stiller, Adam Sadler, Will Ferrel or any of that ilk. However, for some reason...although I shouldn't like him for the same reasons...I appreciate Jim Carey. I think he's unique and many of his films just have me cracking up.

I would have loved to have seen a sequel to Truman Show. Would like to see how Truman adjusted to the real world, reconnected with Sylvia, and sued the network and TV show for what they did to him. Would have been interesting IMO

Leave Gump alone! Tom Hanks is an actual great actor.

The best Jim Carey is a non-Jim Carey movie. The studio should pay him NOT to appear in movies.

I swear to God, the ONLY Jim Carey movie that's funny is Me, Myself, and Irene.

I hate Gump... I agree Tom Hanks is excellent but that movie is the kind of feel-good, saccharine, cliched, maudlin horsehit that makes me want to vomit

Jim Carey CAN be funny... You can't tell me the scene in Ace Ventura where he punches the Eagle isn't funny

Carey is errr... maybe 15-20% funny... 80% annoying.

Better than Adam Sandler, who's 0% funny.

I feel about Sandler the way you feel about Vin Diesel.

I think two drunk agents made a bet that one could turn Sandler into a comedic star.

Dumb and Dumber is easily better than Liar, Liar and Ace Ventura.

I love the Truman Show, great film. I absolutely loathe Jim Carey though, which means it has to be really bloody good for me to enjoy it in spite of him being the lead actor.

It's really not. I'll give you that it was an excellent performance by Carey but it was not an excellent film. I think it goes right up there with The Truman Show as an okay watch but both are also films that if able do it all over I would skip seeing both of them.

Dude chill with your bias. I find Will Ferrel's comedic style not humorous and annoying but I don't sit around and preach how I'm right about that OPINION and everyone else is wrong.

For the record, Carey's comedy was borderline genius in it's cleverness and in its simplicity. Even way back when he was on In Living Color, I knew he would become a superstar once he made the leap to Hollywood. What I found surprising was how so many of the other average comedians on that show also turned out to have outstanding Hollywood careers.

Truman was a great movie. If you even think to compare it to Ace Ventura you're a fucking idiot. It's an actual movie.

Dumb and Dumber is far and away the funniest Carey movie.
