Thing is though...we don't know if Floyd is still as good as he was. He's a few years older and he's been inactive for quite a while.

If this is straight up boxing, it is basically a fixed fight. What a fucking joke. Yeah. Some guy who has never boxed professionally is going to beat some guy who started boxing when he was 6? Whoever's idea this is must think we are fucking idiots. Please God let it tank miserably and vindicate us all.

 

I still hope this fight DOESN'T happen, but money talks. And for some crazy reason there are a lot of people that want to see them fight.

Too bad McGregor is basically a club level fighter. He has no skills.

 

He´d have way more success in kicking Mayweather on the outer or inner thigh: those kicks are debilitating.

Unfortunately, his Muay-Thai skills are below-par, so he´d go for stand-up Boxing and get embarrassed...

This could be an interesting fight, but Mayweather Jr won´t have any part of MMA, so he´ll more than likely dangle the carrot in front of McGregor...McGregor´s weakness is money and to be like Mayweather anyway so he will eventually agree.


Shame. It could be such a cat n mouse affair like Robert Mitchum vs Curt Jurgens in The Enemy Below....

Talk KO, go distance isn't unique to Floyd. He grew up watching Hopkins and James Toney do it their entire careers. Like them, every now and then a ko actually occurred. No way McGregor goes the distance and if I'm wrong, who cares?

It's the Nevada (athletic) commission and their's a precedent when they refused to sanction Tyson-Lewis (wouldn't renew Tyson a licence) and several other states followed suit. So, don't worry, you're still firmly in the first place, no matter how hard you try

 

It's probably all tied-in, any hanky-panky and his money is forfeited.

I think a good MMA fighter could, NHB, put somebody like Floyd in head-injuries unit for months.
