Best Film twists of all time

Inspired by talk of The Usual Suspects

For me The Sixth Sense in numero uno. That was genius and blew me away. Unbreakable was genius too.

Other honorable mentions go to Usual Suspects, Se7en, The others

 

I'd say Psycho. You have to put it into the context of the time. It's the type of twist that's been done to death since (because it's been copied from Psycho). But for 1960, that kind of twist was unheard of.

Jacob's Ladder is a great twist.

 

Seven would get my vote

Its fucking great because its the iconic image of the ruined remains of the Statue Of Liberty....and you think for a second and go ´Eh? What?´....then it clicks.

 

Original Saw was crazy.

 

Arlington Road

 

Definitely one of the better twists of all time.

Hell, I like Arlington Road's twist more than overrated ass Sixth Sense's twist, for example.

 

Twister

 

Unbelievable how many failed attempts at comedy you have on your resume.

 

Go ahead list them.

 

Frailty and Skeleton Key were two very good ones.

 

Not a well known movie, but the movie "Exam" has a great twist.

 

Village

 

Yup. Tremendous twist. Amazing moment in film history.

 

The Crying Game twist had jaws dropping all over the place and guys spiting popcorn in every cinema it played. And no one wanted to spoil it so you could 'enjoy' it!

SPLIT had a nice twist too.

Scanners had another shocking twist.

No Way Out twist was more WTF than shocking.

The Others had one of the best twist ever!

When Darth Vader tells Like Skywalker he"s his father....I remember at the time being "Huh?" :scratcher:

But it never struck me as a shocking 'twist' moment...

 

Good movie.

 

Okay, did Vader said, "Luke, I am your father" or it was 'No. I am your father"? :dunno:

Vader - "If you only knew the power of the Dark Side. Obi Wan never told you of your father?"
