I didn't get that either, the guy is all about incredible footwork. Not a hugger.

 

Yeah he exhibited the capability to weave and circle about quite nicely but during the final third of this fight he chose to clinch and push/separate himself from the pressure, .......he was tiring, feeling the heat when there wasn't really too much of it to be had :nono: ,.. if given the chance Garcia will most certainly suck his dick.

I noticed too more clinching than I expected.

 

Loma thew everything but the kitchen sink at Sosa numerous times during the fight and couldn't stop him so he began to tire towards the end of the fight. He clinched more than usual because he needed a breather once in a while.

It was still a masterful performance. Despite the quality of his performance, I feel Loma will have a hard time stopping top guys at 130.

 

BTW, the ukrainian LH that fought on the undercard was pretty good. Gonzalez gave quite a fight to Pascal and the ukrainian LH walked through him like he was nothing.

 

Gee I am so disconnected from boxing that I missed yet another card. Was it worth watching this apparent mismatch?

 

Clinchy?? Overhyped?? The dude just had another virtuoso performance shutting his opponent down completely and made him quit. The guys skill level is off the charts.

I think Loma might edge Juan diaz as the best pivoter ever. The way he's working with angle is beyond impressive. His hands are not all that though, especially his power. This might hurt him against a bomber like Garcia. ThaT's also why I think Salido still gives him hell, cause he'll get inside and throw a million punches, and I don't think Loma hit hard enough to prevent him from doing this
