Kyle Lowry is a habitual playoff choker. As is his custom, he plays like a top 5 PG in the regular season, then a D-leaguer come playoffs. DeRozan had to shoulder all the offensive load in game 1 because of Lowry's bum ass.

If Kyle doesn't bring it tonight, Raps will go 0-2.

Lowry is a Playoff choker, but Chris Paul is not. His playoff stat lines could actually be considered improvements over his regular seasons, especially considering he's not playing against any D-Teams in the Playoffs.

Paul however is surrounded by chokers, and a consistently shallow bench.

Paul isn't a Lowry level choker, no. But Chris Paul gets the LEAST amount of blame and criticism of any superstar in history.

He's never really been able to ELEVATE his team in the playoffs like a superstar should. If the guy never won a RING, that's absolutely fine. But the fact that he's never been able to elevate a talented team into the WCF at least means he's overrated.

But he's a media darling and the media is almost AFRAID to criticize CP3.

He's a future HOFmer for sure, and he's a HELLUVA player... but I'll forever maintain that he's overrated.

Kyle Lowry is a different story.... nobody ever considered Lowry a superstar. And no, Lowry is not in Paul's league.

Shit, when it's playoff time, Mike Conley is much better than Lowry, let alone CP3.

    Yes, I did.

    Read my response to Noble.

Chris Paul is placed on a pedestal. The dude has NEVER been to blame for his teams failures.

I'm sorry, that shit might fly in the NFL where it's incredibly hard for a single player to have a great impact... but basketball is the one team sport in which individual stars can have a TREMENDOUS impact and carry their teams far.

The fact that Paul has never done jack shit in the playoffs.... ya can't blame ALLLLLLL of that on his teammates. It's a cop out.

Chris Paul isn't GOOD enough to carry a team deep into the playoffs.

Hes not gonna win a title as the main guy because he's a midget who gets worn down. His gifted, genetic freak of a team mate is clearly the problem here

Chris Paul playing angry. Too many meatheads on his team though. They might sneak by Utah, but that's likely as far as they get.

Likely as far as they get? If they get by Utah, they have to play GS in the 2nd round.

The Jazz are as far as they'll get.

I didn't even look at the upcoming matchups, but I believe that's what I said one way or another. :scratcher:

You're the one who seems to think Chris Paul should be able to drag choking front-runners like Jordan, Griffin and Reddick to the finals. :nono:

I'm trying to think of a small guard who could have done more with this clippers roster or new orleans than paul did? Isiah Thomas maybe? Certainly not the guy on the celtics Xplosive been hyping

Chris Paul is not Steph Curry. He not going to fill up the bucket for 40 a game very often, but this is typical Clippers behavior in the 4th quarter of any random game:

Chris Paul drives the lane with 10 seconds left on the shot clock, bringing the defense with him, he kicks it out to Blake Griffin, who thinks about doing something with the ball, but just holds onto it until the defense catches up to him before giving it up to J.J. Reddick, who for some reason looks like Steph Curry in the first quarter of games, but turns into a black hole of suck in the entire second half.........Reddick has second thoughts and gives it up to Jamal Crawford in the corner for a contested last second three point prayer..........ball comes off the rim and DeAndre Jordan has been outmaneuvered for the rebound by some guy a foot shorter and half as athletic as him.

All Clippers players run sheepishly back on defense while Chris Paul yells at them the entire way back up the floor.

Yes, I think with ORIGINAL Isiah Thomas elevates this team past the 2nd round at least once. Zeke could kick his game to a higher level in big games than Chris Paul has ever shown.

For all the flack he gets, I think prime Iverson would have elevated this Clippers team past the 2nd round. That's a big reason for this team's failures... neither Paul nor Griffin are 1st option scorers. Iverson wasn't the floor general Paul was, but his scoring dominance could have pushed them deeper into the playoffs than Paul ever took them. ESPECIALLY if Iverson peaked in this era, where you can't touch a guard worth a damn.

Despite Last Night's Bounce Back Game, REED's Never Rated Lowry Higher than a Top 15 PG...

PG is THE Deeeeeeeeepest Position in the League and Lowry's Right in the MIDDLE of that Pack...

    Blake's All SIZZLE, No STEAK...

Dude is Probably THE Most Athletic PF Ever (INCLUDING Prime Amare and Shawn Kemp), Yet Only Gets 8 Rebounds and .4 Blocks a Game???...Dude AVERAGED 12 Boards a Game his Rookie Year and HASN'T Approached 9 Per in the Last 3 Seasons...Rebounds and Blocks are the STEAK that's Missing...

Blake's Got Highlight Reel Dunks for Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaays, but he's @ that Point of his Career Where Sizzle Ain't Enough Anymore...Instead of Sitting Back, Watching DeAndre Do ALL the Dirty Work, Blake Needs to Roll his Sleeves Up Sometimes, and Get Dirty w/Him...

You would think Canelo Griffin would be able to post-up on an aging Joe Johnson very easily but he seems to struggle

    This...

Blake Should OWN Joe Johnson in the Paint...The Clippers Should FORCE FEED the Rock to Blake, Who Should PUNISH Johnson Until Utah Decides to Put him on Somebody Else...

Drop Steps, Jump Hooks, Up and Under Fakes...All of Those are Options Blake COULD Rely On, Conceivably, w/a Slower, Older, Smaller, Non-Athletic Defender on Him...

    Hmmmm, let's see.

I'd take the following PG's over Lowry:

    Westbrook
    Curry
    Wall
    CP3
    Kyrie
    Isaiah
    Lillard
    Walker
    Conley

    That puts him at #10.

I struggle to think of another PG besides those guys who's better than him.

Still a two guard in my book. IF you group him in with point guards, then obviously, Harden is a completely different level player than Lowry.

D'Antoni's system inflates the assist stats of every primary ball handler.

Harden didn't become Magic Johnson in one season. It's simply the system.

The man is a shooting guard.

Westbrook is trying his best to carry these scrubs, but Houston has too much firepower.

I'm calling it now... Rockets will beat the Spurs in 6, and they'll push the Warriors to 7.

Cleveland, as usual, will have a much easier road to the finals. Their only threat in the East appears to be the Wizards. John Wall is playing a VERY high level thus far in the playoffs. It's possible the Wizards could push the Cavs to 7.

McGrady, yes at times. more so than the other two. Harden has averaged 7+ assists the past 3 seasons. he has always looked to facilitate. lebron james is more of a point guard than irving as well, in my estimation.

Yeah, everybody knows Irving ain't much of a playmaker. The guy is a pure scorer. A very good pure scorer.

Fine. I'll give in. Lowry is the 11th best PG in the league.
