Harden ISN'T Killing OKC This Series Though, it's the Fact Harden's 2nd, 3rd and 4th Options are BETTER than Westbrook's...

Yeah, I'm with Neil on this one. Last game aside, Harden has been playing at a very high level in this series.

REED's making it seem like he's shitting the bed like Kyle Lowry.

    How Do You Figure???...

By Saying "He's NOT Killing OKC", it's NOT as if REED's Suggesting Harden's CHOKING...Harden's Staying within the REALM of Westbrook's Scoring, Which Relegates this Matchup to a Battle of Supporting Casts, Which has Been a MISmatch...

Are Ya'll HONESTLY Telling REED Harden ISN'T Getting Considerably MORE Help than Westbrook???...OKC Isn't Losing This Series BECAUSE of James Harden, They're Losing Because of Harden's OTHER Guys...

Im saying up until last game harden has been scoring damn near 40 points a game WITH roberson as the primary defender on him. how do you suspect he'd be doing if roberson wasnt there?

At the end of the day, REED, Harden creates EVERYTHING for this Rockets team. Make NO mistake, no Harden, and OKC would win this series.

I still think Russ deserves MVP though.

Harden's Assists are DOWN Nearly 4 a Game, Coming into Tonight...The Numbers DO NOT Support Him "Creating Everything" for Houston...

If Harden AND Westbrook were M.I.A. This Series, it'd ALREADY Be Over, Bruh...

houston has better shooters and ball movement than okc but when harden is in the game it all begins with him in isolations or screen rolls. williams and gordon can get their own shots and score but they dont create anything for team mates

Bruh, if REED's Not Mistaken, Noble's Been Pointing Out Houston's +/- is Actually In the POSITIVE w/Harden on the Bench...

REED Ain't Even Sure What's Being Argued Anymore, but Russell Westbrook is CONSIDERABLY More "Valuable" to his Team than James Harden Is...

    Period, End of Discussion...

Westbrook is on vacation. He will NEVER win a ring. Great competitor but I can't imagine him ever winning it all as the main guy. Who exactly would you surround him with wheRE you think he'd be able to win a title?

Mike Conley quickly becoming one of my favorite players. I know he's been around for awhile, but I haven't seen a lot of him prior to this series.

Harden won't win a title either. The mvp should go to lebron james every year

My question is a serious one. Could you construct a team with westbrook as the focal point that would have a serious chance at winning a title? If so name the 6 or 7 guys you'd need to place around him

Westbrook needs to average about 20 points a game, play the point guard role and have another Alpha-Dog power forward or dominant center on the team.

Oscar Robertson never won shit either, until he got together with Kareem and didn't have to shoulder every aspect of the offensive portion of his teams game. Oscar did have Jerry Lucas with the Royals, and like Durant he put up impressive numbers, but was kind of soft and not an Alpha type personality.

Like anybody else, it doesn't hurt to have good coaching and depth on your bench either.

It's not like OKC sucked either, with Durant and Westbrook on the same team. They just lacked the chemistry (and health sometimes) down the stretch, but they did come awful close against some very good teams on occasion.

Adams is a Championship Level Piece, as is Roberson, in a DEFENSIVE Capacity, Exclusively...Kanter's Perfect in his Role, Providing Scoring Off the Bench...Sabonis Showed Flashes Here and There...

Really Depends on Russ; If he's Running the Point, a Bradley Beal Type Would Be a Good Fit...A Paul George Type Would Work Also...If You Take Russ OFF the Ball, Allowing Him to SCORE @ Will, a Pass 1st, Mike Conley/Ricky Rubio Type of PG Would Be a Good Fit...

As Breathtaking as it was WATCHING Westbrook's Triple Double Season, that's Obviously NOT the Route to a Championship...LESS is More in the NBA...If Russ Gets Back to that 23-25ppg Range, 6-7 Boards/Assists Per, THAT Would Be More Like It...

thats the thing. once you start acquiring guys like beal and/or george it becomes a question of whether westbrook is in fact the go to guy. both of them have become more efficient players to me and should be the #1 option offensively.

Man, you have a higher opinion of all those guys then I do. I don't see the hype in Adams at all. He's a plodder, he's not great defensively and his footwork kind of actually sucks. He's no second coming of Bogut, that's for sure.

Roberson should be nothing but a defensive specialist playing spare minutes off the bench. Neil kept comparing him to Beverley, but I'd take half a Beverley over 1 Roberson. Then on top of it the guy is a liability for you on the Free Throw line, once you start coming down the stretch of games.

Kanter? Maybe I missed it. Was he injured? Why did he only play 9 minutes a game in the Playoffs? Defensive liability?

I think Russ needs to stay at the point, because he needs the ball in his hands to push the action and put defenses on their heels. Beal or George doesn't really work for me. I think he needs a bigger, athletic high efficiency guy on the other end to balance him out. Somebody who can also grab rebounds and push the ball up the floor WITH Russ.

A slightly more efficient and mentally stable version of DeMarcus Cousins might be a great fit for Russ. Hell, it would at least be fun, watching those two on the same team, and what might happen.

LaMarcus Aldridge but more Alpha. A younger Al Horford.
I mean, Lebron would be the perfect guy for Russ............but we know that ain't happening.

Would Westbrook be "The Guy" if he replaced Tony Parker, or is Kawhi the better player

I don't see why he needs to be "The Guy". He's a PG in a true team system. He should be 1B at the most.

How many true PG's are "The Guy" on Championship caliber teams? Magic maybe? ......and he was a huge, super efficient hybrid PG with a tremendous supporting cast.

Isiah might be considered "The Guy" on those Pistons teams, but we will never see that brand of basketball again. That was a hive mind sort of team. They were tremendously deep and tough at wearing opponents down.......as a team. From the starters all the way down to the bench guys.

Chris Paul is my favorite PG in the league, but he also needs a 1A. Blake just doesn't cut it on that team.

Adams is SNEAKY Athletic and FINISHES Well Around the Rim...

Him and Westbrook Developed Some of the BETTER Pick and Roll Chemistry in the League, This Season...Adams is Also TOUGH and While he's Not Really a Shot Blocker he CLOGS the Paint...It's NOT Like It's Open Season on the Rim when Adams is in the Game..

Roberson's SELF CHECKED, Offensively, but he Can Guard the 1, 2 or 3, Whereas Beverley's toooo SMALL to Defend Anything Other than the 1...Roberson HAS to Improve his Offense, but Right Now TODAY, REED Would Lean Towards Him Over Beverley...He's Bigger and SURELY, his Offense will Improve to a Point he Doesn't Have to Be Taken Out for a Piss Poor FT%...Call if UPSIDE...

Kanter is a LEGIT Defensive Liability, but he's a VERY Capable Post Scorer...If Adams Had Kanter's Post Moves and Footwork (or if Kanter the Qualities REED Noted in Adams), he'd Be an All-Star...The League is Soooooooooooooo Caught Up in Small Ball and Analytics, that OKC Hardly Ever Plays Adams and Kanter TOGETHER...REED Would Experiment w/That a LOT More, Next Season...

    Good Point...

Even When Magic was "the Guy" in LA, he NEVER Led Them in Scoring for a Season, if REED's Not Mistaken...And Similar to LeBron, Magic Was More Apt to Make the Game Winning PLAY, as Opposed to Always Taking the Game Winning SHOT...When You Think of "the Guy" in Today's NBA, You're Expecting 25ppg Minimum...

Isiah was "the Guy", but he Looked to SCORE More than PG's Did in his Day...And when he Was in a Particularly Offensive State of Mind, Joe Dumars Carried the Slack and Facilitated...In Today's NBA, Isiah and Dumars Would Be Considered Combo Guards...Steph Curry's LISTED as a PG, but he's Really a Combo Guard...So was A.I...

There's Considerably MORE Combo Guards than Pure Point Guards, These Days...

he is unquestionably far better, to me.

do you consider james far better than westbrook?

put it like this: i consider leonard closer to james, than westbrook to leonard.

Mike Conley's always been a very good playoff performer, but this has definitely been his apex season.
