    Oh please. People Kill each other for Jordans. You dont need every sneaker head out there. You just need the dumb fucks that will pay for whatever the community tells to pay for. Again, if Nike put out a 500 dollar show, the lines would be around the corner.

    Jordan is the best player ever, but his had he done what Ball is doing and decided to go his own route before he became the greatest, the man would be worth 30x times than he is now. Same with Kobe, Lebron, Serena, etc.

    There is a method to this madness. And it's so far working out just fine.

    An NBA players starpower and leverage became what it is 100% BECAUSE of Jordan. You know how people always say the NBA is a "players" league? That's ALLLLLLLLL MJ's doing. He's the reason the league began marketing the players, and not the teams.

    Mike wouldn't have been able to do that PRIOR to becoming the greatest. You have to ESTABLISH yourself before the demand a billion dollar contract.

    LaVar thinks his bum ass son is some Lebron-like prospect.

    At BEST, his son will be a POOR MAN's Jason Kidd.

    More likely, he'll be Shawn Livingston.

    Who's gonna buy a pair of $500 Shawn Livingston's?

    Mike didnt have the Vision to do it. Mike could have abandoned Nike 15 years ago and done his own thing but still didnt do it. All of these guys could.
    But Ball is thinking big. And it's fucking working for him. Nobody ever heard of Big Baller Brand or even ball back in October. Now it's getting tons of publicity and his name is everywhere. Why? His dad. His dad is marketing the shit out of this. And they already making sales before he has even been Drafted. Lavar is simply taking advantage of the fact that people will pay for 500 dollar shoes and not because the of the shoe, but simply because it cost 500 dollars. The price Tag. I wouldn't be surprised if i saw people walking around with that show, with the price tag still on. Yes it's fucking shameless , but it's fucking smart on Lavar's side.

    My opinion is LaVar is trying to cash out prior to the start of the season, because he suspects his son might be a bust.

    He doesn't care about black empowerment, he cares about LaVar Ball's pockets.

    Well it's on his son right now. Lavar did everything he could to put Lonzo in a position to succeed. All Lonzo needs to do is deliver. If Lonzo is great, he will be even richer because of his dad's marketing. It's really hard to fault the guy IMO opinion. All these guys should dump nike and do their own shit. I get that people see Lavar as an asshole, but i dont believe Lavar believes the shit that comes out of his mouth. He says it for Publicity. He says it to attract awareness to his son's name and brand. And he has been brilliant at it.

    You are right. Blacks wont flock to it because Nike and Addidas havent told them to. Like i said, if Nike and Addidas put a 500 dollar shoe, nobody would be saying shit. In FACT, Nike has put out a 200 dollar show and Addidas has put out a 300 dollar shoe and like i said, Silence. But they want to bash on Ball for doing it? But like i said, if Lonzo ball becomes great, all these checks that Lavar is writing with his mouth with be cash in Lonzo's pocket. Because he will have an established brand that is HIS OWN and he wont have to shell out no money to the likes of Nike and Addidas who basically have Lebron, Jordan, Kobe and Serena on Shit contracts considering they are the ones bringing in the money.     It's much deeper than just being an attention whore. Lavar is playing it smart.

    And he only talked himself out of Millions if Lonzo aint good. If Lonzo is good, he just made his son a billionaire. The amount of Money Nike, Addidas and Reebok take out the pockets of Lebron, Kobe, Steph, etc is ridiculous. And for what?     He's pre-sold between 400-500 pairs of shoes with a November ship date. LOL!

    Basketball players go with an existing brand because the existing brand has a little thing called "infrastructure".

    Starting a shoe company from scratch is risky. LaVar is doing nothing revolutionary. He's ordering from China based on pre-orders. He's taking no risk himself. He's not going to start a fucking stand alone billion dollar sneaker company on pre-orders and internet Sales. You have to get on the shelves of stores world-wide. To do that, you have to risk YOUR OWN money.............and lots of it.

    Unless his kid becomes a Top 3 in the NBA Star, nobody is going to give a shit. Mid-level All-Star type, nobody cares.

    I think it will go 7. I don't think anybody will run away with it. After all the short series so far, NBA is desperate for a 7 game finals. Refs will swing it one way or the other to make it so if they have to.

    I don't think a sweep is even worth discussing here. Neither team is getting swept. This series is going at least 6.

    If the Cavs win, which I expected them to, then Lebron officially moves to #2 all time. Currently, I have him at #3 behind Jordan, and Kareem.

    In my book, he can never pass Jordan. Mike accomplished more, and was simply a better player.

    But another win over the Warriors will reserve Lebron's spot as the second best and greatest of all time.

    LaVar has set the bar so that if Lonzo doesn't become a SUPERSTAR, he'll be considered a bust. And just watching him play, I have doubts he'll be a star.

    He doesn't the otherworldly athleticism of Westbrook, doesn't have the otherworldly shooting ability of Curry, and I don't see him having John Wall/Chris Paul type of court vision.
