  6. Panchyprsss

    Panchyprsss Clogg's LORD PROTECTOR

I had never heard of this one which looks like the kind of film all my friends loved when we were teens (I was never into the 70s car fever). Looks interesting. Reminds me of 'Vanishing Point'.

  7. Panchyprsss

    Panchyprsss Clogg's LORD PROTECTOR

This is hardly underrated or forgotten: it spawned sequels and there is a remake being planned.

  8. Panchyprsss

    Panchyprsss Clogg's LORD PROTECTOR

Very reminiscent of John Wayne's The Cowboys (1972) "...the kid from Summer of 42..." now THAT was a freaking good drama!

  9. Okay, I´ll let you have Slap Shot.

    Panchyprsss Clogg's LORD PROTECTOR

based on a total of 29 reviews mainly from 'critics' from websites who consider George Romero a god who can do no wrong. When this movie came out in 1977 it was universally trashed and made it into the top ten worst of the year list. I watched it on vhs in the 80s and couldn't believe how amateurish it look and felt. 3/10

I mentioned Vanishing Point the ultimate existential road movie.

  20. Not really a 'forgotten' classic though.
    It's fairly well known.

  21. Panchyprsss

    Panchyprsss Clogg's LORD PROTECTOR

Unlike that barely remembered little 70's film, what was the title?...Star Wars?

  22. Huh?

  23. Panchyprsss

    Panchyprsss Clogg's LORD PROTECTOR

    The Groundstar Conspiracy

George Peppard as a C.I.A. operative chasing an escaped terrorist with a nice twist at the end. The kind of 70s film that inspired 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier'.

  24. Yeah, I didnt like that movie much (admittedly I watched it years and years ago) - it wasnt great, just nothing special regardless of the twist.
