And even if he does not, if he has any success at all it will reflect poorly on Garcia. This matchup seems like something a promoter cooks up who has trouble filling seats. Could be closer than you think. Broner is a big boy compared to guys Garcia has faced previously. For that reason, I would give Garcia a lot of credit if he knocks Broner out or domimates him. Unfortunate part is, I do not think most people will because Broner is no longer viewed as a threat to any top fighters. And that is why this seems like a bad choice on the part of Garcia's team. Nothing to gain and everything to lose.

 

Garcia does have something to gain. Broner's a mainstream name and Garcia's not. If Garcia destroys him, it'll enhance his mainstream recognition.
