Based on interview, seems like Stevenson has no motivation to do anything but fight stiffs.

 

yeah, I'm a big fan of the guy, but it's disapointing how he has pretty much no motivations to prove his greatness. Will probably fights Alvarez in a year, and that will pretty much be the end of him, since even if he wins, he'll be 40

In all honesty, I often forget Stevenson exists.

 

that's ridiculous. Stevenson clearly has some tools that hint he's a great fighter. Just the way he blows up these tough top 10 guys shows that he's a special talent. How good he is, we'll never know, cause he won't dare take the leap

Should be noted Fonfara was similarly iced in his last fight. Or one of his last. Still, Stevenson undoutedly has world-class power and he is adept at landing the sneaky counter.

Stevenson could't miss with the left, I don't understand how he lasted the full 12 in the first fight. He didn't belong in the ring with Stevenson.

 

He's pretty much just a basic fighter with a big left hand. That's really it. I'm shocked too at his age. He called out nobody in his post-fight interview. That tells me he's happy just to fight shit for easy money.

Fonfara is a glass jawed punching bag. This fight told us nothing.

 

Only if you're really ignorant about the sport (no surprise there). for a place with such a small population, Quebec has produced numerous elite fighters. Being the best among them is actually a pretty big deal.
