Bruh, San Antonio was UP 23pts at the Time Kawhi Was Taken Out...

To Say the Spurs "Weren't Winning that Series Either Way" is Clearly a BIASED Take, as there's NO Evidence to the Contrary...Hell, the Spurs Beat the Dubs by 30 Earlier in the Season...

REED Only Brought it Up Because You Referenced Durant's Injury in PREVENTING a 70+ Win Season and Cleveland Basically Being LUCKY from 3 in Game 4, yet FAILED to Point Out How the Spurs Appeared to Be on Their Way to @ Least 1 Playoff Win and Possibly More, Over the Warriors...

You're From Austin, Probably Saw Durant Play @ UT and You Obviously LIKE the Guy...On the Flipside, REED Thought he Made a Punk Move and Obviously DISLIKES him...

Just Be HONEST About Your Bias in this Instance, is All REED's Saying...

Curry won't likely come close to winning another MVP. I think I said last year, that was PEAK Curry. We won't see a season like that again from him. He will continue to be very good, but players with his size and style, have a hard time staying dominant for a long time.

Perhaps, but the NBA "Credit" Game is SELFISH...

This is a World Where Kobe Only Gets SOME Credit for his First 3 Championships, As That Was Shaq's Team...

Steph Curry Now Has 2 Regular Season MVP's, 2 Championship Rings and 0 Finals MVP's...That WILL Be Held Against Him as his Overall Worth as a Player is Debated, in the Ensuing Years...

The real question is when the Dubs play in DC next season, are they going to the White House

    DC is bad luck

pachulia may trip on the white house steps and fall into durant and cause him to miss half the season

I agree but I think this actually makes Curry GREATER. Too few great players agree to take a step down from their personal status, to help their team win more. This is something that Phil Jackson often referred in his books

The sample size for the Spurs-Warriors wasn't great this year but I didn't think that the Spurs were going to beat them with or without Leanord. The Spurs blew them out on the first game of the series. The second game Durant was hurt and the Spurs had a 20+ point lead and lost by double digits. The third game both teams rested all of their starters. It would have been a better series with Leonard playing but I never believed that they were going to win. Who knows though?

Also, you are correct that I am a Durant fan. I remember watching him in person at UT and realizing quickly that he was a special player.

I am happy for the dude for sure. It's kind of awesome to see him get to play this style of basketball but I too wish he could have won with OKC. The front office and the cheap ass owner screwed them out of that opportunity IMO but that is a whole other conversation.

The NBA is Different, Brother UGO...

Even Though Jordan and Pippen Won 6 Championships, Those are Considered JORDAN's Championships...After Winning 3 Straight w/Shaq, Kobe KNEW he'd Need to Win @ Least 1 Sans Shaq, for Validation...DWade has 3 Rings, but the Last 2 are Considered BRON's Rings...

The NBA is SELFISH When it Comes to Doling Out Championship Credit...Batman Gets the Credit, Not Robin...NBA General Managers, Fellow Players, Writers, T.V. Personalities, they ALL Subscribe to this Rule...And the Players KNOW This Ahead of Time...

For the 2nd Time, Steph Curry's Won a Championship w/Out Bringing Home the Finals MVP...And He was a CLEAR 2nd Fiddle to Durant, in the Finals (Despite Actually Playing Well HIMSELF, Admittedly)...

The NBA was in the Process of Making Steph Curry the FACE of the League...But Now that Durant has Taken Over his Team, You'll See that Shine Start to DULL...Hell, Just Last Night, Kevin Durant's Mother Got MORE Camera Time Than Steph Curry's Mother...

i never really get into the psychology of who's the man. curry wasnt gonna be able to maintain ever being the face of the NBA. he was never the best player in the league despite his two MVPs. same situation with nash. both excellent offensive talents in the ideal system at the time. curry also wasnt gonna win any more titles with that same squad. he never would have won one if irving didnt get injured.

In all fairness, Curry should have won finals MVP in 2015.

He actually had a excellent playoff run overall in 2015, which has been forgotten.

I half agree with this. I think Screamin' A has more cache with the older players, not so much the younger guys. I know guys like Durant can't stand his ass. Smith has two main inside contacts...Lebron (when LeBron needs him) and Melo. Seeing that Melo is on the back end of his career and has never won anything, melo is irrelevant.

Bayless is behind the Troy Aikman gay rumors...he's probably not popular in Dallas. His connection to current players in pretty much any sport is nil.

    He's a mayweather apologist/fan. He's not a boxing fan.

he talks a great deal about boxing. To the average person he sounds knowledgeable. When you hear him attempt to get down to specifics he's light on substance.

The Durant-Stephen A. Beef Started w/a Durant Insider Leaking the FACT Durant Would Eventually Leave OKC, a Year or 2 Before he Actually Did It...Stephen A. Reported It, And Instead of just DENYING the Rumor, Durant Questioned Stephen A.'s Integrity...

Then, of Course, was Stephen A. Calling Durant's Defection to GS "Weak"...But just Today, Stephen A. Made Nice w/Durant's Mother Over That...Not Saying he'll EVER Be in KD's Good Graces Again, but he'll Still be Privy to Inside Information Regarding Him...

More than Anything, REED Thinks Stephen A.'s Link to Allen Iverson Keeps him Relevant w/Younger Athletes...Stephen A. Covered A.I. and the Sixers for Years, and a GENUINE Friendship Formed...Given Iverson's CULTURAL Impact, Young Black Athletes Will WANT to Be "Down" w/Stephen A. for Years to Come, Unless he Fucks Them Over...Stephen A. was A.I.'s "Howard Cosell"...

Being a Brash, Loud, Unapologetic Love/Hate Figure to White Viewers Doesn't Hurt Either...You'd Rather White Folks HATE You than Be Indifferent, in his Line of Work...

No Doubt, Skip Bayless is LOATHED in Dallas...Troy Aikman STILL Holds a Grudge and TRIED to Use his Influence as FOX's Lead NFL Color Commentator to PREVENT the Network from Picking Up the Bayless-Shannon Sharped Sports Show...

    Didn't Work, Obviously...

He Knows SLIGHTLY More than a Mainstream Boxing Fan, but That's About It...

Max Kellerman DUMBS DOWN his Boxing Arguments a Tad, So As Not to Make Stephen A. Look COMPLETELY Ignorant...

Because Stephen A. is a loudmouth piece of shit, that's why. Not quite as big a piece of shit as his former running mate, but a piece of shit nonetheless. Athletes will put up with him if they have to, just like they have to put up with Jim Gray and Skip Bayless on occasion.........but there's no universal fan club of athletes eager to suck his dick and provide him with "inside information", just so he won't call them out on national television.

    Fuck him!

NEVER said that Stephen A was knowledgeable about boxing. Obviously, he isn't as fraction as versed on the sport as we are.

And yes, Kellerman does indeed dumb down his boxing knowledge to make Stephen A look like he knows what he's talking about.

Ben Simmons? He's never played a game.

John Wall should be on this team especially if you're including Bradley Beal. There's enough offence so I'd like to have a pass first, big guard would can defend. It might not be popular but from a team perspective I'd rather have Wall than Irving.
