No. KD still had to play against NBA Basketball players to get his ring and his payday.

If KD had signed with a WNBA team, there might be an argument.

Neil, final thought on AI vs Kyrie,

Lebron's gonna most likely leave the Cavs after next season.... so we'll get a chance to see if prime Irving can carry a team to success as Batman.

I'd be surprised if Lebron left anytime soon.

Where would he go. Cleveland needs to pursue paul George. Love is white and Indiana loves white folks, that's a good trade piece for a guy bound to leave. George with James and irving makes them competitive with golden state

    Yep, he's Not Going Anywhere...

Between Melo and Paul George (or Both), SOMETHING Will Get Done to Improve the Cavs...

Melo's gonna be washed up in a few more years.

George is definitely the better option.

If ALL You're Asking Melo to Do is SCORE, Which is ALL Cleveland Would Ask of Him, he Could do THAT for Another 3-4 Years...

George is CLEARLY the Better Option, but Melo's a Pretty Good Back-Up Plan...

You guys think Cleveland can get Paul George? Can they afford him, and why would Indiana trade him for Love?

Cleveland's weakness is that they're pathetic defensively. They don't need more firepower. They need PG's perimeter defense.

But yeah, Melo's still a decent back-up plan.

Jimmy Butler would be a better option than Melo. Melo slows down the offense. You're correct in that George is the best option, but I'd rather see them go younger. Plus, Butler replaces what they get from JR Smith and Shumpert in one player.

REED Didn't Mention Jimmy Butler Because he CAN'T Fathom Chicago Parting w/Him for Kevin Love...And REED Actually LIKES Love More than Most...

agREED w/Neil on Indy Being a Much More "FAVORABLE" Climate for Accepting a Love Trade, Also...Chicago's Got Butler Locked up ANOTHER 3-4 Years, Whereas Paul George Can WALK After this Upcoming Season, w/Indy Getting NATHAN in Return...

    They'd BETTER Unload his Ass...

    Good points.

Will be interesting to see if the GM leaves the Cavs. If so, perhaps they just say "screw it" and go with the team they have knowing LeBron is gone after next season regardless of what they do.

Also, with Lebron and George available after next season it wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility both target an L.A. team after next season.

With the talk of LeBron going west, I can't fathom him doing so without a loaded roster waiting on him.

The Bulls would rather go 41-41 every year than part away with Jimmy Buckets

See this is exactly why I was the one guy saying Cleveland should not have traded Wiggins for Love. Not only would they now have Wiggins a pretty decent scorer and athletic guy, but they would have a lot more cap space to either build a stronger bench or go after a star player.

Jimmy Butler's gotta be a top 10 most overrated player in the league.

He's treated like a superstar, but he's not. He's an all star caliber player, not a superstar caliber player. There's a difference. He isn't a guy you can build a franchise around like Bron, KD, Curry, and Kawhi.

If that Bulls team had a PRIME Wade, then Butler would be a good Robin and they might go far.

But no team that has Butler as their Batman is going far.

I consider Jimmy Butler a poor man's Paul George.

I used to think Paul George was one of the best players in the league but he is the one who is overrated IMO. He doesn't attack the basket and get to the free throw line often. He doesn't set up teammates or get a lot of assists. All PG likes to do is shoot from the perimeter and I think if Cleveland is going to trade Love for him it won't move the needle much for Cleveland and certainly not enough to beat GState.

I'd prefer Butler over George and I didn't have that opinion til this season.

Yeah, George is coming off his best season.

He's always gonna be overshadowed at SF.... because Bron, KD, and Kawhi are just different caliber players, but I'd take him over Butler anyday... ESPECIALLY in the playoffs.

I used to think the same way but PG's offense and even his aggressiveness is limited. He also has a history of missing game winners despite what his Gatorade commercial shows. I used to be a pretty big PG fan but now I'd take Butler over him.

    Busy Offseason...

Yesterday, the Sixers Trade Up to Get Markelle Fultz...Today, Paul George Informs the Pacers he WILL Be Leaving in 2018...

If Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid Remain HEALTHY, the Sixers Will Be a Legit CONTENDER in 3-5 Years...And a Playoff Squad as Early as the 2018 Season...

So George is trying to force a trade essentially?

Celtics certainly have the collateral to make a go at him, if only to have him for the season.

Sixers FUCKING better be at least a Playoff team, with all the tanking they've done in what seems like the last decade.

Yet another, #1 overall pick for them. Did they just damn this Fultz kid to a career of shin splints and knee surgeries?

If I was New Orleans I would be looking to get 4 or 5 of Boston's picks for Anthony Davis and once that's completed I would try to get whatever draft picks I could for Boogie from someone.

The Pelicans are going nowhere and they won't be able to build around those two between now and Davis's free agency. So why settle for middle of the pack and no playoffs when they're going to lose Davis eventually anyhow?

They may as well fold the franchise if they do either of those deals.

I disagree. Davis is like a car steadily accumulating miles, the longer they keep him the less value he'll have. They can't build around Davis and nobody is coming to NO.

Meanwhile you've got Boston, a top tier team with bottom tier assets not to mention what they could maybe get for Cousins. If NO plays this right they could be in a similar situation as the 76ers in 5 or 6 years.

Or they could keep Davis, stay middle of the pack and watch him leave in the next couple years and have to wait maybe 10 to 12 years before they're good again.

Boogie May or May Not Have to Be Moved, but A.D. is Arguably THE Most Valuable Asset in the League, Especially Considering he JUST Turned 24 in March...

Dude ISN'T Even as Good as he's GOING to Be...

N.O.'s an ELITE Level PG Away from Being an ELITE Level Team...And Anthony Davis is the BIGGEST Reason Why...

He's Basically a MORE Offensive Kevin Garnett...
