    The final shot that doubled Kovalev over was square in the cup. The ref seemed to step in when he saw Kov double over.

    Paulie Malignaggi is saying on the English telecast that even if you give Ward the benefit of the doubt and say the shots were legal, the stoppage makes no sense as Weeks could've easily declared Kov down and started counting

    There's a reason you get up to 5 minutes for low blows. Kovalev wasn't recovered and props to Ward for realizing it and making something of it.

    There are some other stud light heavies right now. He doesn't need to go to cruiser.

    Sergey not leading off with complaining. Says 'Boxing.' Now, he does say only hurt by low blow.

    They look low on tv showing the last two that ended it. Yeah, they show the angle and it was low as fuck the last one.

    Look, you give Kovalev time for that low blow and we still have a fight. There wasn't a knockdown.

    Agreed. Even if he judged it to be a legal blow he could have either started a count or deducted a point if he thought Kov was stalling. Instant stoppage is bullshit.
