Could this guy beat any top 10 welterweight? Doubtful. What is the worst name fighter around 147 you'd pick over McGregor? Or, what is the best fighter you think McGregor could actually beat?

To be fair, he seems in his physical prime and lots of Muay Thai guys have crossed over and had success early at the world level. That's not to say it should be assumed he could handle a journeyman, let alone a world class boxer.

 

the thing is that Mcgregor is not a world level muay thai fighter either.

 

Kickboxing, Muay Thai... He has combat experience. And he's not reeeeally fighting "the best boxer in the world". Floyds a 40 year old lightweight that hasn't fought two years and was only encouraged to fight again by a billion dollars to fight a guy that never boxed before.

Maybe Floyds roids and IV's can't turn the trick anymore and he finds himself in with a young fit guy who can fight a little.

 

To be fair? To be fair is to acknowledge the matchup is a joke and McGregor has zero chance of winning.

 

He's a massive underdog and the fight is pointless because the only way Floyd loses is if he's not really who people think he is anymore. Having said that, it's entirely possible he's not. Maybe that's why he retired and only came back to fight a joke of an opponent for a shitload of cash.

MMA/UFC really has nothing to lose IMO.

Floyd is supposed to win, and win big. If McGregor gets smoked I see it as just an excuse to start calling out Floyd to fight Conor via MMA rules next, for another 1/4 billion dollar payday.

Whether Floyd acquiesces or not, or they already have this percolating on the back burner..........I don't know.

Whether Floyd's pride will allow himself to be embarrassed for even that much money, I don't know.

What I meant, is that win or lose, McGregor will probaly not fight in the UFC again, cause he won't settle for the pocket change the UFC gives him after a 100 m payday, and it will also probably cause a lot of disatisfaction among the other fighters in the UFC.

Would McGregor really be cool with his last fight being a one sided beat down? I'd think if Floyd fucked him up like he should he would want to live it down in the octagon.
