Is apparently having financial troubles, due to his absurd spending habits. I have no sympathy for him, once the highest paid actor in Hollywood. Hasn't made a quality movie in God knows how long, and his once huge name doesn't really do it at the box office anymore.
Last quality movie he made was the Excellent Black Mass. And His latest movie Pirates of the Carribean has made almost 700 million at the box office. I think much of this is probably blown out of proportion. The guy has millions pouring in all the time.
Yeah, "Black Mass" was decent. Maybe better then it gets credit for, mostly because people don't really buy Depp as a real human being anymore. I love it when some of these celebrities are having financial troubles...............which means, now they can only afford a 10 acre ranch house in Beverly Hills, instead of a 30 acre ranch house and they have to hock their private jet.
Private Resort was great movie. Everything else he's ever been in has been completely unwatchable. TFK

That last Pirates of the Caribbean film is proof that if the last film in your franchise did reasonably well, it won't be your last film in that franchise. A final cash out sequel is going to be made, and it's going to be shit. They're going to save a lot of money by not working hard on the film particularly on the writing aspect. A couple of examples would be Dumb & Dumber Too and Anchorman 2.
