There was a report that the Clippers were offered a trade of Carmelo Anthony and Sasha Vujacic for Pierce, J. Crawford and Austin Rivers and Doc turned it down. There were also reports that Doc never yelled at Austin in practices and treated him better. They say Paul really despised Doc Rivers based on this so it's likely Paul was leaving the Clippers anyway.

Breaking News: Sam Hinkie just fired so Knicks can sign Triumph The Insult Comic Dog to GM position. Knicks on hook for $899 million of the Hinkie deal. Nets have agreed to pay the additional $1 million left on the deal just for the LOL's.

In a race to the bottom, the Chicago Bulls have agreed to a max deal to lure Derrick Rose back to his hometown team. Sources within the organization claim that the plan is for Derrick Rose to play all 5 positions on the floor...........at the same time and without the luxury of having any bench players on the team. Also he is to Coach the team, serve as all of the assistant coaches, wrap his own ankles, ice his own knees, and when time permits fill in at the ticket booth and sign autographs for fans as they enter the arena.

"I feel really good about this strategy" says new team President of Operations and All Things Zen, Phil Jackson. "Derrick really is a student of the triangle offense, the triangle defense, and he's built a house in Chicago in the shape of a triangle. The only way we can possibly screw this up is to bring in additional players with any talent or ability to create outside of the triangle system."

Yep. Clippers been screaming for a small forward for years and he turned it down. Should have been fired as GM immediately.

Rubio traded for a high 1st round pick to the Jazz. Wonder what Minnesota thinks it has up it's sleeve. Seemed the perfect recipe for Rubio to flourish with Butler going to Minny and him not having to take many shots himself. Just pile up the assists and concentrate on defense.

If they can lure Teague or Lowry over, it makes sense. Otherwise, I don't know. George Hill available to, and though he's a nice player, he's not as much a distributor as those other guys.

Rondo's been dumped again. Might be time for him to holla at Ice Cube for a job.

PG13 to my Okies for Olidepo and Sabonis. I ain't happy about giving up assets for a 1 year rental but those two sucked anyway.

Griffin staying with the Clips. And gets 5 year supermax deal.

Since Westbrook is OKC since day 1, George becomes a beta by default

Maybe not, but that's a huge upgrade over Oladipo as the 1b or #2 and will give Westbrook a break from always having to be the go to guy down the stretch when he's already worn down and nobody else wants to take a shot. Might get OKC a slightly higher seed and into the 2nd round next season.

Westbrook/George is a much better duo than CP3/Harden, IMO.

The west is suddenly very interesting, but as long as the Warriors stay healthy, they're still big favorites.

Word is OKC is also going after Rudy Gay. I like that and assume these moves mean we would let Roberson walk.

I think I change my mind, this is a good trade because we got rid of overpaid Olidepo and I would be shocked if Sabonis ever becomes an effective starter.

Back to the T-Wolves, Teague is a damn good pick-up.

He's not the playmaker and defender that Rubio is, but in the current NBA your point guard HAS TO be able to score... and Rubio's the worst scoring point guard in league history. It's downright comical how bad he is at shooting/scoring.

The Wolves now have a VERY dangerous team. Wouldn't be at all surprised to see them knock off Houston or OKC in the playoffs.

The thing with Rondo is, he can STILL serve as a very good backup PG. He's past his prime, but he's not washed up. Deron Williams, now THAT'S washed up!

But Rondo's ego has him believing that he's still an elite PG... those days ended with his ACL injury.

If he can't accept a role as a back-up, then it's probably time for him to move on.

    Bron, KD, Curry, and Leonard.

Those are the only four players in the league better than Russ.

Paul George isn't that class. He's one tier below.

Really? Remind me again when Paul George was an actual MVP finalist never mind actually being a winner like the guy you claim he's better than. Westbrook hit more game winners last season than PG has in his whole career.

See look, you got me denigrating my new player.

If Im running a team Id rather have george than westbrook. he's a better player. Id rather have him as a #1 option and his game will fit better with other bigtime talents

Well obviously that's just you. Russ is considered a top 5 player in the league while PG13 is high in the top 10. I personally think Butler is better than George these days.

As for if Butler will fit better with top tier talents that remains to be seen. I also don't see how you came to that conclusion when George was the one who bitched out a teammate for taking a wide open game winner. George is so ignorant he thinks himself taking a contested shot is a better option even though historically he hasn't succeeded in that situation whatsoever. You know who did succeed in game winners and crunch time scoring the most last season? Westbrook.
