Maybe Floyd could make some coin doing those one man shows like Tyson did, but with his own stories.

"Did I told you about the time I hassed da cars?"

With Floyd's stuttering.... each show is gonna last an average of six hours. Attendees would will probably have undergo therapy sessions just to get "Like I said before" out of their heads.

Problem is Floyd is one of the least interesting, uncharismatic, athletes of recent times. Zero personality and his marketability is completely based off being undefeated as a fighter.

He also clearly is addicted to the spotlight. He acts annoyed when he's asked to come back, but at his core that's the very source of his self esteem.

Maybe Floyd should invest in a learning facility.

Actually I stand corrected. That's who he used for investments. He uses this company to do his taxes.

What's upsetting about Floyd is, Warren Buffet likes him. There isn't a better guy in the history of the world to know when it comes to managing and investing money and Floyd never reached out (at least seriously) for advice. It's crazy, there is ZERO excuse for him to not pay his taxes and to be in financial trouble.

It's Because Floyd Care's More about the PRESUMPTION of Money, than Actually TAKING CARE of his Money...

He's about Surrounding Himself w/3-4 Bodyguards, EACH Rocking $50,000-$100,000 in Bling...$50,000 Cell Phone Cases, Buying Bottles of Expensive Champagne for a Club Full of STRANGERS and Posting Million Dollar Gambling Receipts on Social Media...

To Your Point, Floyd ALSO Has Al Haymon @ his Disposal...Haymon's Harvard Educated and Has Loooooooooooooong Money Stretching from his Days of Promoting the Budweiser Superfest...

There's PLENTY of Resources @ Floyd's Disposal, but his Only Concern is SHOWING How Much he Has to Others...And That's Because Floyd TRULY Believes Having More Money than Next Man Makes him BETTER than the Next Man...

Motherfucker Named HIMSELF "Money Mayweather", yet Can't Pay Off his Debt til AFTER the McGregor Fight...REED Hopes and PRAYS McGregor Throws that Shit in Floyd's Face, Beginning Tomorrow...

how much money do you fellows think he owes? how much would you estimate he had to pay total in taxes from the pacquiao fight assuming he earned 220 million? Im sure all you financial geniuses can figure that out.

Floyd Mayweather seeks tax reprieve from IRS while awaiting McGregor paycheck

"Mayweather earned an estimated $220 million from his 2015 fight with Manny Pacquiao. While it’s not known exactly how much he owes, the IRS apparently did indicate it believes he has enough non-liquid assets—cars, property, and the like—to satisfy his outstanding debt."

extremely unlikely . haymon's big windfall was using mayweather jr as leverage to get investors/fighters/tv deals.

Oh yeah, and he cherry-picked almost all of his opponents which somehow, inexplicably enables his most ardent ass-lic.....er....I mean 'fans' to proclaim him as Alltime Top 5 P4P.

    Weird.

Hard to guess how much he owes, but I have no doubt it's substantial figure.

Plus as REED previously mentioned, he'll have to pay for past tax evasion and agive the IRS whatever they are to collect for this fight as well.

May-Pac 2 will be coming soon.

It's substantial. Floyd owes taxes on the 300M he made in 2015. If he didn't pay anything that year he may be fighting this fight almost for free.

He apparently owes about 1.6 million. He doesnt have the cash for it. For a guy often walks around with about a million dollars in his luggage, this is surprising and revealing at the same time. Something is up with Mayweather's money. The excuse that it's all tied up in investments doesnt jive when the amount is a little over a million. And the fact that he has to wait for the fight with The Irishman before he can get them some money is a ridiculous excuse. Unless it's true.

It's for these very reasons why the IRS is going to laugh in his face when he asks them to wave the penalties and interest.

    What will his excuse be?

"Like I said before, can I have the penalties and interest waived? Things are kinda tight right now"

Cue pic of Floyd laying in a bed full of benjamins.

Im mistaken. The 1.6 million was for 2006. Phonetap could be right. I really dont know what he has owed, but i know that he has had a history of not paying taxes on time and a history of having to work something out in order to get them paid. He even had something like 4 liens filed against him by the IRS.

It CAN'T be 1.6 million! I mean, I have no doubt he's blowing through money, but GODDAMN... it's VERY hard to believe he doesn't have 1.6 mil in cash.

He owes 8 figures.... at the VERY LEAST.

We all gotta give it up the dull fuck Lennox Lewis. Say what you want about him, but almost 15 years since his retirement and he's still an extremely wealthy man living off his ring earnings. Lewis probably has more liquid cash at his disposal than Floyd.

Not surprising though, as REED previously stated, Jamaicans are extremely frugal with their money.

what is the advantage to having liquid cash? many really wealthy people dont. if so, its not making any money for you.

also, how exactly would there been no mention of this until now if mayweather jr hadnt paid ANY of his taxes from 2 years ago?

The benefits are easy access if you have are constantly seeking loans for investments. If you buy real estate for a living, having cash easily available is a must, because many banks require some up front cash for that loan. But also if you invest lot's of money in small business, having that money available is helpful. There is definitely not advantages to having out the way floyd does, to buy shit here and there. Not sure why he would not charge that shit on a card and get serious rewards from it, but whatever.

As for not mentioning it until now, these rich guys wrap the IRS in so much paperwork and excuses it takes a long time to decipher.
