MOST boxing fans are idiots. Even ones who've watched the sport for years, some still have no idea what they're watching.

We're part of the select few of hardcores who know how to analyze fighters/styles/fights.

 

There's nothing "slick" about Broner. He's not all that athletic.

 

Broner is very athletic and has sound skills. He's just not much of a thinker or tactician in the ring.

 

Yeah, obviously he does his best thinking outside the ring

 

I'll split the difference between PR and Terp. Broner is above average athletic. He's far from a super athlete like a Roy, or Floyd, but he's not WITHOUT athletic ability. Terp is correct that he has solid fundementals, and that he lacks ring IQ. That's gonna be another difference tonight, Mikey's a much better thinker.

 

One of my friends, who formerly boxed and trains fighters, made a valid point in analyzing Broner - saying that one of his biggest problems is that he keeps his chin in the air when he performs his shoulder roll, whhich is why he's so easy to nail cleanly. He correctly pointed out that masters like Floyd, Toney, and Hopkins always keep their chins tucked and protected behind the shoulder roll.

He predicted that Mikey will touch AB to the body with the right, and catch him clean up top with the hook with Broner's chin in the air, and lights out.

 

Anyone recommend a decent stream for this fight?

Miller is no world beater. Apart from his size and strength, I don't see a lot to make me think that he can be a future star of the sport.
