He will never make it because nobody is going to spend 100 bucks on a 30 second fight. Which is about how long it would be if mayweather fought in an MMA cage. In boxing, people will pay because there is a chance. In MMA, no fucking chance for floyd.

But If That WERE the Case, Previous McGregor Fights Would've Garnered AS MUCH or MORE Attention than This 1, Right???...

Yet it Hasn't, for a Reason You're CONVENIENTLY Ignoring, in a SPORT You're Reluctant to Give Credit To...

But it's All Good, You're Probably just Trolling...

Mcgreggor fights do garner lots of attention. They damn sure garnered more attention than mayweahter when he fought Berto. Vegas during a mcgreggor fights is bonkers. Especially with all the irish roaming the streets who made the trip.

And I assure you I know there are a lot of people outside of the USA* that were totally familiar with the name Conor McGregor before this fight was mentioned let alone signed.

If it's because of McGregor then shouldn't McGregor be making 70% of the pot instead of 30%?

It takes two to dance and bitch ass Floyd wouldn't dance for 30% so 30% is better than nothing. 100 mill was way too good to pass up for Conor. If Conor and Floyd both had an equal net worth it would be a different ball game.

Conor should've finished his 3 remaining fights with UFC then taken the full pot against Floyd. As it stands, he's giving a big chunk to Dana White.

You are nuts. Timing was perfect. I promise you if he fought 3 more times in the UFC he's at least losing 1 and the hype would die off...they forgave him the diaz loss but forgiving another one (especially ko or sub) wouldn't be as easy. Conor played this PERFECTLY. Think about it he caught aldo in seconds then he gets beat by diaz. Then beats diaz in a very close decision..then ko's a very weak champion in Alvarez to become two division champ. If his ufc run was a stock that's when you sell! And he did. For 100 mill. Bravo!

nonsense. Conor would only make this type of money fighting Floyd. Floyd could make 9 figures facing the winner of Canelo-GGG and other big numbers against a Keith Thurman

UFC is getting 50% of McGregor's PPV revenue. So since McGregor is getting 20% of the PPVs, he'll be splitting 50-50 with UFC.
UFC is also getting 20% of McGregor's purse.

Conor could make some serious money fighting Canelo.

I doubt he will be doing any high level boxing after the Floyd fight. At least none that anyone will be willing to pay to see.

I've never been a big Floyd fan as some of you might remember, but Floyd is fighting for boxing and I must root for him. If a zero fight amateur beats one of the greats it's a sad day for boxing.

Its a sad day for mayweather. Not sure why or how boxing would be affected. Are you telling me that if Conor beats floyd, you will be less interested in Canelo vs. GGG? Or any other major fight? Of course not.

I doubt it would sell like the Floyd fight. it would be a decent draw and Canelo would be a much worse fight style wise for Conor.

No but honestly that's one of the only good fights I'm even looking forward to. It's a much better fight than Conor vs Floyd. It would be a huge blow to boxing if Conor beat Floyd though. The MMA guys shit talk would never end.

It would sell pretty high. Dont forget, Berto vs. Mayweather didn't sell well. 400k PPV sales? It's not mayweather that is doing the selling here anymore.

But how would it be a huge blow? Because MMA guys would talk shit? Who cares. Isnt going to change people stilling wanting to see boxing. Isnt going to stop Big PPV money for the Canelo fight. It will however, fuck with Floyd's legacy. But Floyd is 41 years old.

I just cant see how this bout, no matter who wins, affects boxing. This is a boxing match, where fists are thrown. Anyone can be caught and slept.
